Stroll the best-preserved medieval fortified city in the world with a local, born in the very heart of it. Get introduced to the major city sights, evoke the glorious past times of the Republic of Dubrovnik and, at the same time, experience the real heartbeat of less than 1000 locals that still live within the City Walls. This small place, known for its diplomacy, commerce and shipbuilding, was a well-organized city. Almost every aspect of the social life was regulated already in the 14th c. Water supplying and sewage system, health service and garbage disposal service were organized and regulated. At the same time, peek into the hidden corners, in narrow and steep streets, where you will discover a real life of a small community that still lives in the UNESCO site in ancient homes, struggling with stairs and crowds, coping with strict conserving regulations and demands of tourism, balancing between the history and modern life. The tour can be extended for a walk over the City Walls.

Vesna was an excellent guide for us. She provided clear and concise descriptions of Croatia's history without sidetracking into unimportant trivia. Her knowledge was diverse and she provided some humor along the way. She also gave us recommendations on what highlights to see in Old Town and some side trips to take in Dubrovnik.

Vesna was knowledgeable about the history of Dubrovnik and shared her perspectives as a resident of the Old Town. She painted a picture of the benefits and challenges of living in the Old Town. She gave us some suggestions for stores and restaurants when we asked. Vesna was a fun guide and she was a great communicator leading up to the tour.

We enjoyed a 2 hour tour with a local guide Vesna, who had extensive local knowledge and brought the history of Dubrovnik to life. We would recommend this tour with Vesna, who also recommended other attractions to visit during our stay.

Wow! The best tour guide ever! Vesna has a deep, personal connection with Dubrovnik and has a very humorous way of communicating those experiences. She made the city come alive in a way that only someone who has lived there can do. We can’t recommend her highly enough!

Vesna is fantastic. She is knowledgeable and is a real local who grew up in the city and still lives there today. She was communicative in advance, friendly, and engaged on all our questions. Highly recommend her as a guide.

Vesna was very knowledgeable and funny. She provided us with a unique walking tour off the beaten path, filled with lots of interesting historical facts and personal stories (she is one of the few locals left who was raised, and continues to reside, in the Old City in Dubrovnik). The tour started right on time and lasted for a little over 2 hours. As a local, Vesna also gave us some great recommendations for traditional Croatian restaurants frequented by locals — thus far, they’ve hit the mark. Highly recommend this tour!
