We weren’t sure if or when we’ll ever return to Scotland, so we thought a day trip to the highlands would be a good idea. This particular tour is on a large bus that seats maybe 50 people. The bus is very comfortable and his nice big windows. The downside is that it took so long to load and unload when the middle door couldn’t be opened. I’d recommend sitting up as close to the front as possible to avoid waits getting off and on. The other downside is that the big bus can’t always stop at Glencoe due to limited parking for large vehicles. Fortunately there was one spot open during our tour and we were able to stop. My favorite stops were Glencoe (beautiful!), when we had a ten or fifteen minute photo stop. I also loved Glenfinnan, which is where we saw the Harry Potter viaduct and a monument on a pretty loch. We had an hour at Glenfinnan. The Callendar stop wasn’t anything special; we parked in town rather than at the place where the highland cows are (parking issues with the bus I suspect). Fort William was nice because we had time to walk down to the loch. Neptune’s Staircase was our last stop and my least favorite. Maybe it’s nicer in the summer. Although I really enjoyed this tour, in retrospect I wish we had taken a smaller group tour that would have been able to make more stops.

The whole experience was great and our guide Mark (the Australian one) did a great job of entertaining us the whole time!

Really enjoyed the day tour as we got to see landscape of Scotland. Vix's customer service was excellent, we learnt a lot about local facts where she clearly explained in a very entertaining way, and when she found out we were very attracted to highland cows, she bothered to find out where we can see and feed them and threw extra 1 stop and that made the day completes

Great tour provided. Nick was a very knowledgeable and wonderful guide! Never a boring moment. Will definitely try again one of the tours if I come back to Edinburgh.

We took the tour to Glenfinnan Viaduct from Edinburgh. It was a fantastic tour, and our driver/guide Mohammed was amazing. The roads were winding once we got up to the highlands, but the driving was great and we didn’t feel the curves too much. Mohammed also made sure that we got to see all of the vistas on the way, giving us more than enough time to take photos in each spot. He really made the experience great, despite a bus issue that delayed us a bit on the road, completely out of his control. He has a great personality and really everything you want in a tour guide on this route, complete with history and anecdotes. I highly recommend this tour!

Just finished a Highlands day tour from Edinburgh, and Adam was an incredible guide. He was funny, knowledgeable, and engaging from the very start, bringing the history and stories of the Highlands to life with great humor and energy. He struck the perfect balance between sharing fascinating facts and letting us take in the scenery, and it genuinely felt like exploring with a friend. HIGHLY RECOMMEND !
