Exclusive Doi Inthanon: Private Peak Trek & Falls Journey

Fun experience, our guide Tong was knowledgeable and friendly and the mountain trek was a nice break from the city heat. Lunch was really good!

We had an amazing day exploring Doi Inthanon with our guide, Tong! Even though it was a foggy and rainy day, Tong carefully arranged the itinerary to give us the best chance of seeing all the main sights. Thanks to his deep understanding of how the mountain’s climate shifts throughout the day, we still got to experience everything we hoped for. The local lunch was one of the best meals we had in Thailand—absolutely delicious! Tong made sure our dishes were completely allergen-free since I’m allergic to shrimp, which we really appreciated. The highlight of the trip was the Pha Dok Siew Nature Trail—a gorgeous, lush trek through rice paddies and past waterfalls that ended at a cozy little coffee farm where we enjoyed freshly brewed coffee. It was peaceful, scenic, and unforgettable. Tong kept us laughing the entire ride with his humor and endless jokes, and in between attractions he shared fascinating insights about Thai history, farming, language, and culture. He’s not just knowledgeable, but genuinely fun to be around—making the whole experience feel like spending the day with a good friend. If you’re planning a trip to Doi Inthanon, definitely request Tong—he’s what made our day truly special.

M was absolutely incredible. He was professional and very informative about the local culture on the long drive to the national park. M is also an amazing photographer! He knew all the right angles and captured some great shots of us at all of the natural sites. We never felt rushed with M and he was such a pleasure to spend the day with. At the end of the day, he went above and beyond when my mom wanted to buy a certain souvenir because he called a specific shop to make sure they were open and had the right item. M then drove us there and personally escorted us while we shopped (mind you this was well past the end time of the tour).

The waterfall was stunning, the lunch was one of the best meals I’ve had in my week in Chiang Mai. The pagodas were very breathtaking and Mr. Tong was able to fill us in on many little interesting details. Mr.Tong should be considered a national treasure. The man does a great job of elaborating on points of interest and makes sure to get you the pictures you would want of everything you can ask for. The energy he brings is infectious and will make any tour you choose that much better. Mr. Kit is a skilled and friendly driver. You won’t be waiting behind a slow truck all day, but he drives safe and calm enough you can catch a solid nap on the way to your next location.

Such an amazing tour with our guide M. He was so helpful bringing us to the best places when others weren’t there, teaching us more about Thai history, and taking us to a great local lunch! This tour is simply amazing! Nature and culture of this beautiful country and beautiful people experienced at the same time. In particular, I really recommend Tong as your tour guide, because his friendship, happiness and kindness really made the difference today! He is really “jab”, which means “cool” in Thai language. Moreover, he’s really well prepared on what concerns Thai history and culture. Really, the best guide we could have asked for; very kind and friendly. As group of friends we are really enjoying Thailand and not only for the cities or the amazing nature we have been walking through during this tour, but especially for the people we are meeting.
