Grindelwald First: Ultimate Alpine Thrills from Lucerne

I felt there were way too many people on this tour. They dropped us off in Interlaken and just told us to be back by a certain time. There was no guided tour. Same with Grindelwald. They brought us to the cable car to the first walk but didn’t tell us our options of what to do there or suggestions of what to do in town. The bus ride was fine although it was so crowded I couldn’t get a seat with my husband. I felt it was too expensive for what we got.

Great views and walkways and nice after having low/no visibility at Pilatis and Matterhorn. This was at end of trip and made up for the others. No one’s fault on others as we learned it rains 150 - 180 days / year so you never know.

Guides were outstanding, professional, knowledgeable and courteous. We just finished a 12 day tour of Switzerland and decided to take one last excursion to grindewalde. So glad we did.. it was the best!

The views are second to none. You can just hang out the whole day and enjoy and relax. Describing the area doesn't do justice. You have to be there to experience. We stayed there overnight, our room had the best view ever, next to the Cliff walk. No private bathrooms, just shared but clean. It also includes free breakfast. The lake is about an hour hike which was nice.

The Adress they gave me its a different one. Yes its like 4 more minutes straight ahead. They should do an update to that.

Wonderful experience! We were able to sightsee, shop, ride a cable car through the mountains, and see a magnificent waterfall. The highlight of the trip was the cliff walk. It was heart stopping yet exhilarating at the same time. I would rate this tour as the best one I’ve ever taken.

Well organized even though it was a multiple pickup scenario. The guides were right there to answer all our questions. A lot of walking was involved but rewards were great with stunning scenery and good food. Would refer to friends and family.

Keep in mind that the trip up any mountain is extremely weather dependent. Being inside a cloud may not be what you are looking for. If you can determine the weather 25 hours ahead, you should cancel the cable car trip up the mt. That said, the bus ride from Lucerne through Interlochen to Grindlewald is scenic, but strap in! So many sharp turns. When we started our ride up Mt. First it was socked in at the top. Luck held and the clouds cleared. Breath taking panorama!! Recommend the cliff walk which is a catwalk suspended on the face of the mountain. Be prepared for a little slushy snow during some parts of the year. The optional activities may or may not be open, weather dependent. There are signs at the bottom advising visitors of availability and wait times. It was a long day, but at the end, it was worth every frank.
