The tour guide Anna was so knowledgeable and helped put the current events in context of the past…so no dead history telling with Anna! Very enthusiastic and helpful. She went beyond to be supportive and is quick on the uptake! Thanks Anna for making our tour so memorable! Love the quirky humour and I will always remember to look at the backs of statues;)

This was a nice tour! The groups were small and it was the perfect amount of time. We learned interesting history facts that we wouldn't have known on our own. The office was close by, and easy to find.

Excellent guide. Very informative. Did a good job of keeping us in the shade. Bought entrance tickets ahead of time. No line.

We had a great experience with Athens Walks. We did a morning tour of the Acropolis with our guide Demos who was an excellent guide. I highly recommend that you purchase the skip the line tour so that your tickets are already purchased and ready for you when you check in at the meeting point. Demos did a great job of guiding us up to the Acropolis with well thought out rest stops in the shade (it gets very hot so bring water with you!) where he explained in highly entertaining detail the history of this magnificent ancient site. The guided tour was well worth it and I would highly recommend. Well done Demos and Athens Walks!

Easy to find, knowledgeable guide, and stopped at different spots to explain what they were. I am happy we took this tour!

Magda was an excellent guide. She interacted with all of her group and was a wealth of information. She was personable and engaging.

Amazing experience with our wonderful tour guide Ioanna (“Jo”). Not only was she knowledgeable about every aspect of the acropolis throughout its impressive history, she knew where all the best shade spots on a hot day and managed to keep our children engaged (and incredibly patient with our precious 8yo’s persistent questions!). Can’t recommend this tour and Jo enough.

Our guide was Alexandra Kolia and she studied archaeology. She was amazing and she told us stories about the sites. Highly recommended! We originally booked the 9am tour, but we got there early and was able to join an earlier tour too.

I personally think having a guided tour for historical sites and ruins is where you get the most for your money. Your tour guide will tells stories and paint pictures in your head of how life used to be and what things used to look like. This really helps you use your imagination when looking at the acropolis and other adjacent ruins.
