Best of Athens Half Day Private Tour

Senis, our tour guide was amazing. We not only saw a lot of Athen’s sites to see, he gave some historical background information that provided context to each of the sites. Senis was extremely helpful and professional during our half day private tour.

We enjoyed the tour tremendously. Dallas, our tour guide was very knowledgeable, entertaining and thoughtful. We highly recommend him.

Paddy gave us a great tour of Athens! He picked us up at the cruise port and showed us all the highlights of Athens. Paddy got us skip the line tickets for Acropolis and front row for changing of the guard. It is hot in July and he had ice cold refreshments. Lunch was delicious. Paddy was a lucky find with Theodore Travels.

This was truly a fantastic tour! Our tour guide/driver, Paddy, did an outstanding job! He sent us a message the night before our tour with a greeting and reminder for our pick-up time. He again notified us of his arrival at our hotel. He provided us with information regarding the ancient monuments and sites along with facts and details of the rich history of Greece. My husband, two teenage children, and I were entertained and well informed throughout the entire tour. Paddy also provided cold water for us to keep hydrated as it was warm. The tour ended with the MOST delicious meal! This was such a lovely experience! I highly recommend!

Hello, Our guide was Stathis and 14 of us signed up for this tour. The private bus was really nice and Stathis was very accommodating to schedule changes. Since we only had one day in Athens, Stathis made sure that we saw all of the major things. It was a hot day and he scheduled things with that in mind. He was very knowledgeable and provided a lot of insightful information. The lunch at the end of the tour was really good and we enjoyed the local authentic ambiance/food. With only one day in Athens, we are thankful that our tour was amazing.

Very accommodating and organized! Saw all the major sites in comfort - it was hot and our guide was very caring about how we were handling the heat, had plenty of water ready for us and took great care to make sure we were comfortable. Great lunch at the end of the tour - one of the best meals we had all vacation long! Great history lesson without being too tedious. Great way to spend half a day in Rome.

This was the perfect tour for us coming from our cruise ship. We saw all of the highlights of Athens and our tour guide, Ted, kept us entertained with history, mythology, and information on modern life in Athens. It was a great value for the price and was tailored very specifically to our conversations with Ted. And the lunch capping off our adventure was so delicious and the team really made us feel welcome.

Stam was such an incredible tour guide for us this afternoon! We only had 1 afternoon in Athens before flying home to the U.S. and he took us to see all the highlights, shared the history with us, laughed with us, and made us feel as if we’ve known him for years! The traditional meal at the end of the tour was delicious and very filling. This is definitely the way to experience the city and culture in a short amount of time. As he drove us around Athens, Senis shared story after story from Greek history, bringing the city to life in a way that was both fascinating and accessible. He has so much knowledge, and the way he weaves in history, mythology, and local insights is absolutely fascinating. I honestly wish I had recorded the entire day. Our guide Tassos was very knowledgeable and gave us some great perspectives around Athens. The included meal was good, and they accommodated my food allergy well. The only potential improvement point would be that we had specified being at the airport at 15:45 (3:45 pm) several times, as the airline did not offer earlier check-in. We were left at the airport about an hour earlier. Better than being late of course! But could we have seen some additional point of interest in that time? Would book this option again.
