The guide was very knowledgeable and had great stores. He explained the correlation between the sights and the mythology. We throughly enjoyed this tour.
Excellent tour of the ruins! I love the way the Acropolis is situated within Athens, atop a hill, and your journey up is physical but not exhausting. Tour was great for free time to take photos and to hit the high points outside the Acropolis as well.
The guide adapted herself to the group : she tells us mythological stories and linked them with Athen's History. A great way to start a trip in Athen !
The tour was great! Our guides name was Jason and he was very knowledgeable about the different myths and sites of the Greek gods. He has a great sense of humor and really made the tour great. The tour takes you to the major archaeological sites in Athens, including some that aren’t as prominent. If you’re looking for a tour outside of the modern history or Athens, this is a great choice.
A very comprehensive and informative tour. Demi was an excellent guide, she was very knowledgeable, friendly, and humorous. I would definitely recommend.
There are many tour options when you’re planning your trip to the Acropolis; based on our recent experience, we highly recommend this one. First, everything is handled for you in terms of logistics. Second, it’s with a small group so you’re able to ask questions and not feel rushed. Third, our guide was phenomenal: friendly, patient, highly knowledgeable, and a great communicator…My sister and I traveled to Athens together and this guided tour featuring the historical and mythological background of such an archeological treasure was truly unforgettable!
Shout out to Demi who took us on the half-day Athens Highlights Mythology Tour. An archaeologist by training, she hit the right balance of telling the history and giving us the context of what we're seeing without drowning us in detail. In addition, her storytelling style was great at keeping us interesting and bringing the past to life for us. Even though it was a blisteringly cold and windy morning, she kept our spirits up and it was apparent that she really does love what she does. Not one of those guides who simply go through the motions. In short, we thoroughly enjoyed doing the tour with her and would ask for again when we next come to Athens.
Our guide Danae was just so lovely, and her character and knowledge made the tour really special! Learned a lot more about the history but also the mythology of Athens/Greece. The hours just flew by and I could have spent the whole day listening to more stories.
Really loved this tour. It was so interesting to hear the mix of the mythological stories and the history of ancient Greece. The Acropolis and other sights were just amazing. The only thing that I would have liked a bit more of was more time to take photos and enjoy the views - at times felt a bit rushed. Overall would 100% recommend, made our Athens trip really special!
This tour was AMAZING! Our tour guide Alex had so much knowledge about the Acropolis and other parts of Athens, everything that went on there in ancient Greece (including stories of the myths). He was extremely engaging and tried to talk to everyone individually which made the tour just a little more personal, the tour definitely didn't feel like 4 hours. Do yourself a favour and book this tour.
