Legendary Athens: Your Private Full-Day Ancient Wonders Tour

Athens is spectacular! The guide was maybe a little unnecessary. We felt we probably could have found it all on our own if we'd read up, and with the bus or metro. He didn't add much, nor was he super personable.

Our driver Dimitris is friendly and knowledgeable. He recommended a local Greek restaurant and it's the best meal for our entire Mediterranean cruise trip. Price is reasonable and the seafood is so fresh. We miss it very much.

We saw a lot of places in Acropolis in one day. I really enjoyed it. Local lunch is especially memorable. Excellent food at very reasonable prices. Good driver/guide.

Christos, our driver and guide was fabulous!!! He was friendly, accommodating and very knowledgeable of Athens! And the Mercedes van was luxurious and spotless. We traveled with our two friends and the van was the perfect space for us with a lot of room

Dimitris was a fabulous guide throughput the day. He picked us up at our hotel in Plaka. At each stop he would not only inform us of what to see or notice but also provided iinformation and history about the site. Dimitris told interesting stories about Greek mythology, Greek history and word origins. Timing was perfect. A few of the highlights - we witnessed the changing of the guard, visited the modern Olympic Stadium, of course the Acropolis, admired the Pantheon, then walked through Agora before going to lunch at a typical family owned restaurant away from the tourist areas. He took us to the highest hill for a spectacular view of Athens. Before he left us off at the end of the day in Monastariki he pointed out other attractions and activities, especially noting the rooftop restaurants with views of the Acropolis. A great way to start our visit to Greece.

We saw all the important historical monuments. Probably more walking than we originally thought but doable. Our guide, Anestis, was very adapt at driving us throughout the city.

Dimitris was a wealth of knowledge with a great personality! Showed us the main sights and dropped us off at a local neighborhood restaurant for a fabulous lunch. Best guide we had.

It was amazing! Ice cold water all day, free tickets to all the attractions, skipped every line, and he took us to a private local place for lunch and they treated us incredibly well. We saw more in a day than most could in a week.
