Enjoy Cape Sounio Private Majestic Sunset With Seaside Dinner

This was a delightful experience! Lovely coastal ride to Cape Sounion to enjoy an exquisite meal and wine by the sea at sunset. Our guide was wonderful and so knowledgeable about the region! Poseidon's Temple at sunset is a must! Highly recommend!!

This is a MUST do tour and ask for Theo. He was an excellent driver gave great narration and was so much fun! We stopped for iced chocolate which was outstanding on the way, made many stops for pictures, excellent tour of temple with beautiful weather and to top it all off the most delicious freshest fish dinner we have had. The fish was caught in the morning and prepared by the fisherman grilled in lemon and olive oil. Outstanding!! On the ride home we had so much fun with Theo telling wonderfully funny stories. Absolutely best tour we’ve had in Athens. You must do this tour with Theo!!!! The company is excellent as well very responsive and answers all your questions promptly!!

The view from the temple was wonderful! Even with the clouds it was very beautiful. Food was fantastic and the driver George was very knowledgeable and charismatic.

What an amazing guide and person. Our impression was that we would basically just get a driver to lead us to the temple and to the dinner site. Far from it, George made sure we get all context and details necessary to understand where we were going, and on top of that made such a great experience out of a 1h20 drive with the most varied conversation topics, from politics, human nature and life to world history, food, geography, you name it. We could have talked for hours with the guy. For our trip there was also another guide named Dimitri, who didn’t speak much but was always helpful and payed attention to our needs. Basically, the best couple of tour guides you could ever hope for. About the sites, it was a good experience, but the temple definitely feels like an instagram destination. Yes, it’s a beautiful view, but essentially you go there to catch the sunset, get a few good pictures if the weather is good (we were very lucky there too), and immediately after the sun goes down the security comes with a whistle announcing the closure of the site 🤷🏻‍♂️ in other words, we god exactly what we were expecting I guess. Lastly, dinner was great. We went on off season so we didn’t get the usual restaurant, but food was great regardless (does bad food even exist in Greece?), and with a nice seaside view too.

Giorgios is the man you want to ask for. He treated us like gold as if had been friends for years. He was a great conservationist and great ideas of where to eat! He took us to a great restaurant and I asked him for a bakery that is good for tomorrow morning flight back home. He told me where to go. I safe and I amazing hands. The company is truly a gift and I thank you for this special memory for a lifetime.

A good trip out to see the Temple. Unfortunately we didn’t get the best sunset, but that’s nature. This time of year as well I don’t think you are ever going to get the iconic picture through the temple columns as the sun is just in the wrong place. The dinner on the way back was very nice and fresh.

The trip was excellent. The scenery is really beautiful and impressive. Theo was a great guide. He was very informative, he offered us plenty of photo opportunities and he is a very affable character and we enjoyed his company. After the visit to Cape Sounio Theo took us to a fish restaurant which was excellent. The food was delicious and more than plenty of it. Overall it was a very good tour and I would recommend it whole heartedly.

The drive takes about 1 hr each way. The sunset view is always pretty but if it is a cloudy day it may not be as dramatic. Dinner was delicious, a traditional Greek restaurant. Giorgos was very pleasant to talk with. Pick up and drop off were easy and as planned.
