After a comfortable 4-hour bus ride from Athens, we arrived in the dramatic landscape near Kalampaka, where towering rock formations crowned by centuries-old monasteries took our breath away. We were joined by a fantastic local guide whose passion, deep knowledge, and warm humor brought the rich history of this UNESCO World Heritage site to life. Walking among these sacred heights, we gained insight into the monastic way of life and the incredible resilience it took to build and preserve these remote sanctuaries. Incredible sights, prompt service and excellent lunch! Big bus with great wifi and friendly guide at Meteora. The Company sent me an email by mistake which almost cost me the trip. Viator help line was not able to explain how the glitch happened. I hope they fixed that problem and ut does not happen again..

Excellent trip. We enjoyed all the monasteries and the beautiful scenery. Great day. Be aware that the bus trip is long and so take entertainment with you - the bus does stop for bathroom break and snacks/meal on the way there and back around midway. The bus is comfortable. The included meal is good value and is recommended.

The sight of the rock mountains was awesome coupled with the monasteries that were built atop them. Can’t imagine how this was done but simply amazingly awesome! Lunch was at a Greek restaurant with various options and was scrumptious. Enjoyed the trip though may be physically taxing but spiritually filled as well. Thank you!

It's a bit rushed. If you book the lunch there is no time to do anything in Kalabaka. There is no charging on the bus. Wifi works good. The bus is a bit old and could be cleaner.

Absolutely wonderful time! The staff was amazingly helpful from start to finish. Eva, our guide-was warm, personable and made sure everyone was safe and up to speed with plans and history. Definitely recommend!

This would have been 5 stars, but when we first booked it included hotel pick up. When I later checked, we had to meet at one of the four locations. Luckily I checked with the tour operator prior to the tour. Otherwise my printed contract still says they would have picked us up at our hotel. The tour was amazing. I would recommend going to this tour.
