The driver from Athens to Meteora is great: he stopped at a historic monument for spartan & gave us time to take pictures The local guide was wonderful: she’s showing us photos of her cats & mixed her personal experience growing up in the area, quite interesting stories from only local can tell

Great experience. Knowledgable & kind drivers & guide. Not to stress the monasteries have skirts free to wear, they are universal elastic or wrap skirts. We went in February so there were plenty to go around. The Resturaunt they take you (twice) to along the coast, is very reasonably price and delicious. The fire oven pizzas were outstanding. The Resturaunt you stop at as your paid lunch was also very good. You have a limited menu (only 3 vegetarian options - rice stuffed pepper & tomato, pasta and sauce and a grape leaf rice filling wraps) it was good. The first two Monasteries you pay 1€ to use the toilet/WC, the last one (run by the nuns) allows you free entry to use the WC. I highly recommend this tour. Wear proper footwear and beware you walk steep steps and ramps to get to most Monasteries. Bring walking sticks if needed.

Stunning imagery and amazing photography opportunity. Be prepared for some steps and walking, comfy shoes highly encouraged. Our guide Catarina and driver Dimitris (spelling? :x) were amazing. You could tell they take pride in their locale, and it is amazing. Must see in Greece

I did a full day monastery tour (incl. travel time from Athens) with Visit Meteora and it was a wonderful experience. The bus ride up to Kalampaka is about five hours including a rest stop, but the bus was comfortable and had wifi and phone charger ports so it was not that much of a slog. Our guide Apostolis was truly the man — funny, energetic, and very knowledgeable. He answered all our questions with a few extra anecdotes to boot and the tour never felt dull with him around. Our driver Erikos was also clearly experienced and got us round those mountain switchbacks smoothly and safely. Would highly recommend going with Visit Meteora if you’re interested in the monasteries!

This Meteora Day Trip from Athens was truly the highlight of our visit to Greece. From start to finish, everything was perfectly organized.. The meeting point was extremely easy to find thanks to the metro access, and we had absolutely no trouble locating the bus.Our driver was incredibly friendly, making the ride feel comfortable and enjoyable. We also made a stop at an amazing seaside restaurant with a fantastic menu - the perfect way to break up the trip.We have pre ordered our meal before we got there thanks to the pre order app in the bus! As soon as we arrived at Meteora, our tour leader welcomed us warmly and immediately set the tone for an unforgettable experience. The panoramic stops were unbelievable! The entire tour was really paced, informative, and absolutely enjoyable. I recommend it without hesitation!

I had an amazing day trip to Meteora. The rock formations and monasteries are absolutely breathtaking, and the views from the top are unforgettable. Everything was well organized, and the atmosphere was peaceful and inspiring. It was also very easy to find the bus since there was a metro station nearby, which made the whole trip even more convenient. I also contacted their offices, and they were a lifesaver. Thank you, Dina, Dino, and Ioanna, for your help and excellent support. I highly recommend this experience — it’s truly a unique and memorable trip in Greece.

This day trip from Athens exceeded every expectation. From the very beginning, everything was effortless. The bus was incredibly easy to spot at the meeting point, and communication with the operator was smooth and clear. Every question was answered quickly, which made us feel confident and relaxed before we even departed. The drivers were phenomenal—professional, safe, and friendly—and the guides were simply outstanding. Knowledgeable, engaging, and passionate, they brought every stop to life without ever making it feel rushed. The itinerary was perfectly designed. The long drive was thoughtfully broken up with a scenic coastal stop right by the waves, where we enjoyed tasty food and had time to stretch and take in the views. It made the journey feel comfortable and enjoyable rather than tiring. The coaches were spotless and right on schedule the entire time. And then… Meteora. Without exaggeration, it is the most beautiful place I have ever seen. The rock formations are surreal, and stepping inside three monasteries made the experience even more special and meaningful. I truly can’t recommend this tour enough. A seamless, well-organized, unforgettable experience from beginning to end.

A breathtaking experience for a single day! I did visit Meteora several times before and the views always manage to amaze me. The guide was entertaining during the whole trip, and even the brunch was well worth its price. Since I went solo, I will know to definitely bring more people with me next time.

Excellent experience, all details well shared at time of booking. Kind reminder the day before. High quality bus, great tourist guide (Apostolos!). We booked the optional lunch at noon, which was really nice food. Also the two stops during the bus drive were well organized and dinner in the evening was excellent. And of course, the obvious, Meteora is soooo magically beautiful!!!! Absolutely advisable to visit if you have a longer tile in Athens and want a nice getaway !
