To our family of six, this was an immersive tour in history of Greece and cradle of civilization. Most amazing archiological sites; including: Epidaurus, Mycenae, Olympia, Delphi, Meteora, and a handful of quick yet amazing stops/drive-bys; including monument to Thermopylae, Salamis, Corinthian canal, Nafplion (awesome), etc. The full-tour guide, Joy, was by far the best tour guide/manager we have ever had. Her knowledge, communication, experience, and group-management are superb. While English was the primary language of the group, she was fluent in multiple languages. Beyond the tour sites, and tour guide, the hotels, Amalia Hotels, we stayed on were equally great, super clean, and provided great breakfasts and dinners. Even the stops where we paid for our own lunches were superb. We HIGHLY recommend this tour!! And if by chance you get Joy as your tour guide, you will be in for an amazing experience.

It was incredibly hot in some of the sites. I brought an umbrella for shade. Although at Mycenae there was thunder and lightning and rain!

The tour was very enjoyable, with a great guide. While there is a lot of driving we had a great time seeing the sites. Having a pool at each hotel was great given how warm the days were. In general, where we stopped for lunch was good.

Great trip! We saw most of Greece. Good balance of touring and driving. Locations were fantastic! Make sure to take a taxi into the towns you stay in, the locals are nice, plenty of shopping, bars and restaurants. The small towns made the trip even better. Hotels have a lot of “character,” they are older but clean. For the price you get a ton of value, but the air conditioning pretty consistent barely kept the rooms cool. Food wise, they do a good job for sure. The food is good, not great, but again value wise, very good. Our tour guide Fotina was amazing. Our driver was great as well. All in all highly - highly recommend, if you want value. If you are looking for luxury this might not be your choice. Expectations were met based on previous reviews we read.

Eleni was very knowledgeable and spoke English very well. She was wonderful with all the guests and treated the group like family. We had a wonderful time at each of the sites. Very important to stay hydrated, wear comfortable walking shoes and a hat! The views were spectacular! I would highly recommend the tour!

My partner and I thoroughly enjoyed the tour. Pick up and drop off was simple and the trip itself was fantastic. We were treated to many highlights of the modern and Ancient Greek world. Special mention to our driver Nick and tour guide Maria, who made it a very memorable time. Maria was extremely lovely, knowledgeable, and full of anecdotes relating to the sights we saw. Would definitely recommend!

We stayed in a AMALIE hotels for every night and they were clean and comfortable beds. The buffet dinners gave us a great opportunity to try many Greek foods. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and never hesitated to answer the many questions we all had.

After 2-1/2 great days on a small bus (17 English-speaking passengers in our case) and a great guide, we were piled into a giant 63-seat bus with 54 passengers and one overworked tour guide for the final day-and-a-half. She had to deliver everything (sounded memorized and not necessarily understood) in French and English. Suddenly we were eating in gigantic, loud buffets instead of local restaurants, and stopping at rip-off rest stops. In short we went from being guided, informed and escorted to being herded around. Not fun.

It was absolutely wonderful in every way. Maria was our guide and she was very passionate about the history of each place we visited. Yannis the driver was a so accommodating but mostly a very safe driver. The scenery was breathtaking! A full 4 days of adventure and dropped right back to our hotel in Athens. The food was great and they stop for comfort breaks as well! Everyone enjoyed themselves. Maria and Yannis make a great team and gave us the tour of a lifetime. I will miss them both! All in all our trip was great but there were certain things were lacking. The tour guide Emelia was very knowledgeable about each area we visited. Absolutely loved each location. The bus was comfortable especially since it was only 12 people in our group. The Amelia hotels was a 3 star even though we paid for a 4 star hotel! The food the first not was ok the 2 other nights it was not good! Also no variety each hotel had the same food no. Since it was a small group it would have been nicer to have stayed in smaller boutique hotels with better food or not include dinner!
