Ultimate Busan: Private, Customizable Local's Discovery Tour

It was our first time in South Korea. Our guide did an excellent job of showing us the many fascinating aspects of the people, culture and beauty of the country. His knowledge and communication skills were top level, inspiring us to want to return to Busan. His recommendations for Korean barbecue and bingsu were also great!

We had a wonderful day in Busan with John as our guide. He shared with us some of his extensive knowledge of the history of South Korea and Asia. He tailored the tour to our wishes and needs so well. He is extremely kind and attentive. The day was a perfect mix of walking and driving in his comfortable van. The temple by the sea was spectacular! We had a delicious Korean lunch. It was one of the best day tours we have ever experienced.

John our driver was a fantastic guide, his extensive knowledge on all local Busan matters was incredible. He definitely made our day most memorable……. and he knew exactly where to find fabulous Bibimbap for lunch.

We weren't really looking forward to our Japan cruise stopover in Busan South Korea, mainly out of ignorance. That quickly changed when we were greeted with a name board right at the pier by our enthusiastic guide that would be our host for a day. This city is a photographer's delight, from the beach to the park to the skyscrapers (one 102 stories high) to the age old temple nestled along the ocean, to the cable car to the multi colored old town (Korea's Machu Pichu). Plenty of hills, plenty of steps and plenty of walking, but each segment providing relief in the large air conditioned SUV for two people, along with much needed bottles of water. We have previously learned to inject a sit down lunch break midway through an all day tour. The beauty of this kind of tour is that you can spend as much or little time at each stop according to your interests. We invited Changwoo to pick a lunch spot and join us. He proudly picked a Korean BBQ place that would not handle a tour bus, nor be found by adventerous solos. The result was an enormous amount of delicious food nicely explained by our host. If you're going to Busan at a cruise stop, I encourage you to book this tour very early.

We had an amazing full-day tour in Busan, thanks to our fantastic guide! The car was clean, comfortable, and air-conditioned, which made the trip very enjoyable. He was flexible with our port schedule, and picked us up at Port; it easier for us, including getting us back to the Port ( to reduce heat and physical exhaustion). Best wishes on your traveling adventure. Gwangalli Beach is known for its breathtaking night view Gwangandaegyo Bridge stretching across the ocean in the background. Stop At: Hwangnyeongsan Mountain offers a lush green forest easily accessible from downtown Busan. For city view! Stop At: Songdo Cable Car,Songdo Beach is the first beach in Korea and is home to the first maritime cable car. Stop At: Busan Gamcheon Culture Village. Gamcheon Cultire Village is often known as the “Machu Picchu of Korea.”

This one day tour showed up a lot in Busan. Check the beaches, the temple, the city view and try their local cuisine. Highly recommended.
