Exclusive Montevideo: Private Day Trip from Buenos Aires

The tour was very organised and the sights were beautiful. We saw everything we wanted to see! It was very easygoing, would recommend to anybody!

Uruguay was a lot of fun. Our tour guide truly made the experience enjoyable and educational. We had a great time. The return (night) ferry ride was VERY long for some unknown reason.

The excursion was very well organized from pick-up to final drop-off. Business class ferry tickets were purchased with enabled us to avoid lines. Bea, the tour guide, was very knowledgeable and a pleasure to spend the day with. Great tour and we learned a lot.

The trip is well organized. Both Argentina and Uruguay guide, they have smooth connection for picking up at the port terminal. Our guide in Uruguay is very nice and knowledgeable, she told us the history, same time also the funny story, it totally made the full day trip more interesting. A little bit pricy, but worthy for a 1 days country visit.

Gustavo picked us up on time at our hotel and got us to Buquebus in plenty of time to check in for the ferry to Montevideo. That process was easy. The ferry took about 2 hrs and once we arrived, our tour guide, Lorenzo was waiting for us. With Horacio, our driver, Lorenzo took us on one of the best and most detailed guided tours I've ever been on! When I say detail, I mean history, politics, economy, and other interesting details on every hot spot we saw and community we toured. He also related historical events to events happening in our home country, which was really interesting. They accommodated our request to take a photo at the big Montevideo sign near the beach. We stopped for coffee at a small market and a great lunch at the big mercado, and I had a bit of time to shop. After lunch, it started raining pretty heavily, so Lorenzo adjusted the tour so we weren't in and out of the rain. The last hour of so of the tour was mostly pointing out important monuments and squares on the way back to the Buquebus, but the traffic and rain was heavy, so that was ok. Another 2.5 hrs back to BA on the ferry, and Gustavo was waiting for us to take us back to our hotel. All in all, the tour was excellent. The entire process was seamless. Good communication from Signature DMC. If you get a chance to request Lorenzo, do it. You will learn a lot from him.

Everything on this tour went smoothly, from the pre communication to to hotel pick up, the ferry and the guide Beatrice, waiting for me in Uruguay. She was so knowledgeable and such a passionate advocate for her city that you can't help but want to go back some day. That is the sign of a memorable trip.

Very nice day spent in Montevideo. 6AM our pick up was waiting and drove us to port. After less then 3 hours of ferry ride we were in Montevideo. Private tour as a couple was great as Bea showed us every important place in the city and also answered to our questions (we had a lot of questions..). Very appreciated we had chance to have small stop to buy Tshirts in Hard Rock Cafe, as we are collectors. Absolutely great approach we recommend to everyone. Weather was also great, which is a big bonus. 10/10

Our guide Pilar was wonderful and knows everything there is to know. Fantastic. Our driver Leo was nice too. Montevideo is beautiful and waking up early in the morning was worth it. Very interesting and informative. Two thumbs up.

Absolutely wonderful experience! Our tour guide Bridgette was excellent as well as our driver Fernando! Her English was great, and she was very friendly and knowledgeable! Both were very prompt! Everything went smooth, and the fairy ride was a lot of fun! Montevideo is beautiful, and we are so glad that we went on this tour! I highly recommend!

The city is amazingly clean, beautiful and comfortable. Our guide, Beatrice was brilliant and accommodating. Adrian was an excellent driver. Montevideo is a must see place. The ferry ride is smooth and quiet, except in the evening the kids are energized... A long day, but worth it!
