Rhodes Unveiled: Butterfly Valley & Chalki Island Journey

We visited here 1 October to be told butterfly season is over. As a result we had a nice shaded walk up and was given a discount

This peaceful haven is a must-see for nature lovers. Walking through the lush, shaded forest along wooden bridges and streams was so relaxing. The sound of flowing water and the serene atmosphere made it feel like a hidden paradise.

Butterfly valley was underwhelming used toilet make sure you have 50c and that you pay for children or the woman on the door will chase you down for it!! wish we’d gone straight to chalki. Chalki is beautiful and a beautiful beach.

long narrow cobblestone path, lots of butterflies, but all the same species. Take plenty of drinks with you as there is drinks on the first part and nothing on the second part, however if you walk off the track a little there is a street seller where you can get drinks & ice cream from. Glad we’d hire a car while in Rhodes and explored the island, as if we’d booked this trip via a tour operator it would have cost 47 euros each to a-poise 6 euros each.

A good morning trip to butterfly valley, not for the fainthearted or those with walking issues as pathways can be steep and uneven. Went may which is just before you are able to see the many butterflies in the area

I loved seeing all the butterflies and it was a nice stroll through the park. It was great to spend in Chalki, its a cute small town next to the water!

Great 2 hours, 5euro each worth a trip out there even just to support tye Park. A bit of a walk through the valley, sensible sturdy shoes a must, none of your primarny special flip flops. Sheltered walk which was nice away from the heat, a cafe and restaurant also there.

Great experience, we loved it a lot. Full with butterflies. Kids had fun and it’s a great walk in the forest despite hot weather

Relaxing walk through the woodland, and was able to go up to the Monastery. There is a restaurant to grab food and cafe mid way and at the end. There are some steeper parts to the walk, and we've seen few people turning back. Have to pay to use toilet facilities.
