We did the Perth to Freemantle return trip and was very worthwhile. The cabin is very spacious and comfortable and there are two levels. The windows are large and clean, in fact we saw them cleaniing them all prior to departure. The commentary was good and quite clear. The bottom level is wheelchair accessible. You can buy coffee and snacks on board.

We thoroughly enjoyed this cruise from Perth to Fremantle, taking a couple of hours in the early afternoon. We booked afternoon tea, one with tea, the other with an alcoholic beverage and enjoyed every morsel in our boxes (consisting of ribbon sandwiches, small burgers and cakes The captain’s commentary was much enjoyed too, as he pointed out interesting architecture and stories on both sides of the river. When we reached Fremantle, we could see Rottnest Island on the horizon. Also discovered just how many people enjoy water sports on the Swan River: small sailing boats, jet skis and hover flite boards, which easily kept pace with our ship and jumping off our wake!

The Swan River does not feel like a river - it is more like a bay. Since it is not very deep, the river between Perth and Fremantle (which is on the Indian Ocean) is used by ferries, tourist ships, and recreational boaters. This gives this tour more of a "this seems nice if I could afford it" versus an industrial or historical vibe. The captain's commentary is nice and leaves plenty of time in between for drinks, conversations, and photos.

Gives you a different perspective of the Perth skyline seeing things from the river with a great commentary to go with it

This was a great way to set the surrounding river are other than our train commute into Perth. The Swan River tour was very pleasant.

If you want to unwind for a few hours this cruise is a great option. There are a few choices such as a one way trip or a return trip. The return trip then has options of staying on board and coming straight back or exploring Fremantle for a few hours and then returning back to Perth, we choose to explore a bit Fremantle, had a lovely lunch and then visited the Maritime Museum which is at the end of Victoria Quay and easy walking distance back to the boarding area. Some lovely views/sights on this cruise and interesting commentary made it a very relaxing trip both ways, as we were near the Victoria Quay jetty some dolphins popped up to say hello. The captain turned the boat around so everyone got a chance to see them. Very thoughtful.

That it is very pleasant, not overwhelming. Sit back and relax. Freemantle is a very lovely town with majestic old buildings. It’s peaceful and easy to explore.

There are people who have no regard for others and push their way to the front of the queue when boarding the boat.

Took the cruise to Freemantle. The cruise was fantastic crew were amazing and the commentary well worth listening too really informative. Freemantle on winters Tuesday not so great. Suspect it is better at a weekend. Cruise back was just as good with more information to be heard.
