Thailand's Market Magic: Private Train & Floating Wonders

Our guide Johnny met us at our hotel early in the morning with an effervescent smile. The trip to Maeklong was swift and Johnny explained everything about what to expect. It didn’t disappoint we walked the railway through the market stalls to the station . We stopped at relevant points where Johnny explained all. Johnny found us a great position for photographs of the train passing through the market. Very professional. We then made our way to pick up a boat that carried us through the floating market. What a fabulous experience it was . Johnny sorted out various foods to eat coconut pancakes , pork noodles , and our favourite fresh mango and sticky rice. If that wasn’t enough we finished with coconut ice cream. Our guide Johnny was brilliant and I have no hesitation. In recommending him . So it’s 5 star from my wife and I 👍👌👌

Our guide Time and our driver picked us up at our hotel and on our drive down to the Maeklong railway he gave us a detailed explanation of what we were going to experience. He was so friendly and knowledgeable. It was such an interesting, easy and fabulous way to see these sites. I highly recommend.

Today we had the pleasure of being guided by Johnny around the Maeklong Railway and Floating Markets. Johnny was great fun. He explained the history of both markets and made sure that we saw all of the important spots. He was very friendly and he speaks brilliant English. We had a great day and would highly recommend.

This was an amazing day. We spent several hours at the Mae Klong Railway Market (Hoop Rom Market) and the Damnoen Saduak Floating Market. At the Mae Klong Railway Market vendors sell fruits, vegetables, fresh fish and meats, clothing, and souvenirs on the train tracks. What is most interesting is that a passenger train goes through the middle of the market. At certain times of the day, a siren comes on line and the stalls pack up there wares and lets the train pass through. It is so exciting. You can touch the train as it goes by. Quite a once in your life opportunity. The next stop was the Damnoen Saduak Floating Market. We took a longboat along the canal through the community and experienced vendors selling there wares on the canal. You enjoy the boat ride and stop along the way to purchase items that interest you. People were very polite and very nice. We enjoyed this tour very much. A special shout out to Mr. Bakery, our guide, and Mr. Vee, our driver. Both took very good care of us. Mr. Bakery is an outstanding tour guide. Very knowledgeable. Answered all our questions. Very personable. Mr. Vee was always prompt in moving us from one location to the other. He ensured we were well taken care of. He ensured we had water the entire trip. Excellent driver. Felt safe as we travelled to and from Bangkok and each location along the way. Strongly recommend this tour. Well worth 5 STARS.

Pom and Mr. Kai did a great job taking us to the Train and Floating markets. Pom explained the history of both markets and helped us truly enjoy the experience!

Our guide Nok was such a great tour guide. She was so nice and so knowledgeable telling us about parts of Bangkok as we passed them in the car. She took us to the best spot to see the train pass through the market and also took us to see the dragon around the temple. I would highly recommend getting her as a tour guide and would definitely do it again.

We’ve been in Bangkok a few times before and this tour was high on our list, but we never came to it. We had a great day with our guide Army and driver Kai. On the way he told ys a lot about history of Thailand awhich was very nice First we went to the Maeklong railway and we walked around the track and market. It really nice to see all the shops and verdors. When it is time for the train all the goods on the track are removed so the train can pass. Army found us a grat spot to see all the action. After that he took us to the coconut sugar farm and we learned how it is made. Then it was time to go to the Damnoun floating market. We got on a longboat and visited the market. It used to be authenyic but now it is almost just fot tourists. Army explained a lot and he also got us some mango sticky rice. Thanks to Army we had a great day and great experience!
