What an amazing experience this was! I loved that the class was in Japanese, as someone who is trying to learn the language. I loved the trivia questions and the informative slideshow, which taught me a lot I didn’t know about Japanese culture and cuisine. I had a wonderful time making my sushi and although it was pretty cloudy when I went, I was able to get a peek at Fuji-san’s beauty! Kosuke-san was an excellent instructor and his coffee shop is wonderful too! This made my first trip to Japan truly unforgettable — book this activity for memories to last a lifetime!!!

It is truly a great place to visit and learn how to make sushi. I had a good time and would highly recommend this place to anyone who wants to find activities to do near Mount Fuji. This would be one of them.

We were very fortunate to have this class with only two of us. One of us had never had sushi before coming to Japan, so it was an interesting experience to be introduced to cooking and preparing sushi and eating it. We learned how to make nigiri and how to eat it properly. Sushi-san was amazing and clearly skilled in his practice, having been a sushi chef for many years at notable Tokyo restaurants. It was interesting to hear the insightful stories Sushi-san had to tell. Go to the class with an empty stomach. You will not be disappointed and you will enjoy the sushis of your labor!

Friends recommended this to us, and we’re so grateful! What a delicious, fun, insightful afternoon — with an amazing view of Fujisan. My sushi-loving son and husband adored every minute and every bite. I’m embarrassed to say it was my first time eating sushi, and it was all so good! Kosuke is talented and funny and generous with his knowledge.

I highly recommend this sushi making experience! Chef Kosuke had so much energy and was so passionate when teaching us. We had so much fun and it was definitely the highlight of our trip. He catered to our vegetarian requests as well. We learned a lot about sushi and being able to gaze up at Mt Fuji during the class made it that much better.

Kosuke was a great teacher and a wonderful personality. He gave us a brief history lesson, showed us some basic etiquette, and walked us through making 3 different types of sushi. His teaching method felt pretty foolproof, and we were able to make some pretty impressive units for our first go (see the pictures for yourself). His warm personality and encouraging nature also went a long way to making the session relaxed and easygoing. The location also has an amazing view of Fuji-san. Overall we had an amazing time and left with full tummies and lifted spirits. I am personally excited to try make more sushi when I get back home.

Our group sushi-making class against the backdrop of Mt. Fuji was a standout experience. The host was wonderfully engaging, and the quality of ingredients was top-notch. This class was the perfect mix of fun, learning, and cultural immersion. A truly memorable experience for any group – highly recommended!

This was the most incredible experience (my favourite thing we did in Japan). Sitting with a perfect view Mount Fuji while making sushi and learning all about the technique was brilliant we can’t recommend it enough!

We had an amazing time learning about sushi and making sushi with the chef! We tried to book last minute and despite being full, the chef accommodated some time for us. Session was fun and entertaining as well as interesting and delicious! The chef was such a gentle and kind person. There is plenty to eat once you finish making all kinds of sushi so I would recommend going on an empty stomach as we couldn’t finish those delicious pieces we had made. Thank you to the chef for an amazing experience and memory!
