Tokyo Skytree: Exclusive Sky-High Adventure (Floors 350+450)

We visited the Tokyo Skytree at 2 p.m. on a Saturday, and while the views were absolutely incredible, the crowds made it hard to really enjoy. The observation decks are beautifully designed and the scale of the city from up there is breathtaking, but it was extremely crowded — shoulder to shoulder almost everywhere. It was difficult to move around or get to the windows for photos, and the overall experience felt rushed and chaotic. The line to get back down took nearly 25 minutes, which was frustrating after already waiting in multiple queues. The views themselves are spectacular, but I’d strongly recommend going early on a weekday if you want to actually enjoy it without the overwhelming crowds.

It was alot of people but the tower was nice. I like how you can see the whole city of tokyo. I would recommend this tour if you are visiting tokyo.

I had booked the upper level as well as the standard viewing platform. I visited in a Monday but there seems to be some sort of holiday and it was extremely busy. The queues were fairly well-managed by the staff but it wasn’t a great experience for me. The views were great as was the glass floor.

I visited Tokyo Skytree and met a lovely young lady from Poland. She asked if it was okay for us to go up together. We ascended to the 450-meter cylindrical observation deck to enjoy panoramic views of the river and the city. The sights were absolutely spectacular, despite the crowd of people. 東京スカイツリーを訪れ、ポーランド出身の素敵な若い女性に出会いました。一緒に登ってもいいかと誘われ、高さ450メートルの円筒形の展望台に登り、川と街のパノラマビューを楽しみました。人混みの中でしたが、景色は本当に素晴らしかったです。 There’s a section for taking photos where you can view the images immediately for a small service fee. A larger printed version is also available for ¥1500, which makes for a nice souvenir, as it includes a digital version as well. We thought this was a nice touch, and there was no pressure to buy. 写真撮影コーナーがあり、少額のサービス料を支払えばすぐに写真を見ることができます。1500円で大きなプリント版も購入でき、デジタル版も付いているので、素敵なお土産になります。これは嬉しい心遣いで、購入を強制されることもありませんでした。 One memorable moment was when we stood on the glass flooring, giving us a direct view of the streets below. It was a heart-racing experience, even though I knew it was perfectly safe. I purchased the tickets on-site the day before my visit without any issues. Buying a ticket a day or more in advance can help you skip queues during busy times, especially in the evening. 忘れられない瞬間の一つは、ガラス張りの床に立って、下の街並みを間近に眺めた時でした。安全だと分かっていても、ハラハラドキドキでした。チケットは訪問前日にオンラインで購入し、問題はありませんでした。1 日かそれ以上前にチケットを購入しておくと、特に夕方などの混雑時に列に並ばずに済みます。 I must say, Tokyo Skytree is absolutely worth a visit—especially for the spectacular sunset and starry night views from the top of the city! 東京スカイツリーは絶対に訪れる価値があります。特に、都会の頂上から眺める壮大な夕日と星空は格別です！ However, one thing that upset me was the loud crying of a baby because of the large crowd; they were unable to take the elevator down for more than 45 minutes. I asked one of the Tokyo Skytree attendants if they could let that family go first, but he ignored me and allowed the baby to continue crying. I found myself wondering, "What happened to the kind Japanese spirit?" しかし、一つ残念だったのは、人混みのせいで赤ちゃんが大泣きしていたことです。エレベーターは45分以上も降りることができませんでした。係員にその家族を先に降ろしてもらえるように頼みましたが、無視され、赤ちゃんは泣き続けました。「あの優しい日本人の心は一体どこへ行ってしまったのだろう？」と、思わず考えてしまいました。

The Tokyo Skytree is an impressive structure. The experience was not what I expected. We had to wait in a long line to get up to the 350th floor. Once we got there, we were surprised by how narrow the window panes were. The angle of the glass caught the reflection of lights within the Skytree and affected the photos we were trying to take. We waited to take another elevator up to the 445th floor. When we got there, we walked up a ramp that spiraled round the center of the tower. Little did we know that the ramp was basically leading us back to an elevator to send us back down. Unlike Shibuya Sky, there really was no where to stop and enjoy the scenery. It felt like we were being herded through the space. The windows there were also angled and posed the same challenge for taking pictures. There were so many people crammed into the space that we often had to wait to get a spot by the window. Once again we waited in line for an elevator. This time it was to take us to the 445th floor. There was a section where you could take a picture standing on a glass floor where you could see down towards the ground. This was disappointing because the glass panels were very small which limited the effect of standing on air. The lighting was bad so it was difficult to get a good photo using our phones. Of course, they were selling photos that their photographer took. The views of the city were definitely more expansive than Shibuya Sky. Tokyo looks beautiful at night. I just wish we could have stayed and actually enjoyed the scenery instead of feeling rushed.

We bought the tikets online and choose the earliest possible time. Everything was well organized. We went up to the top deck and were lucky with weather; bright sunshine. The view is realy impressiv. From one end of the horizont to the other , only buildings. The longer we stayed the more crowded the place got. There is a eatery on the first platform and a cafe. Willst having a snack you can enjoy the view. It's worth the money.

Spectacular views!! Loved the shopping mall and food market too. Definitely worth visiting!! Highly recommend

The views are spectacular. This was completely worth it to go. We had an incredible double date at the restaurant then enjoyed the views from the two decks. The elevator was so fast and quiet that it was really impressive compared to other older tower experiences in other cities. Highly recommend!

Fairly crowded but not prohibitive. It’s a unique experience and I recommend finding a way to fit it in. We were able to get in for sunset on a Sunday.

Just amazing views of Tokyo city. We went at night. Some busy spots, waiting for elevators, but nothing too crazy. Definitely recommended to take in the size and beauty of Tokyo.
