Guilin's Li River: Private Luxury Cruise & Scenic Escape

Catherine, our guide in Guilin was excellent. She had fabulous knowledge and really looked after us. She made sure our experience was fantastic and took us to a great place to eat.

Gulin was beautiful, the hotel that we were staying has a best location overall as it was next the the beautiful night lights and busy shopping and restuarant streets. overall I would like to comment and give the tour guide, Sally who has been so infomative about Guilin histroy and culture. To top my appreciation, I would like to thank Sally for staying with me when I had to go to the hospital, to have my leg checked since my fall happened at the previous city. Sally help me to do all the translation with the doctors, registered me, help me to figure out the treatment, patiently waited till all the CT scan was done . She has really gone above and beyond to spend the after work time to help me and to see me safely back in the hotel. Thank you Sally.

I visited Guilin as part of a 4 stop China Tour (Beijing, Xi'an, Guilin, Shanghai) organized by Travel China Guide. Our guide for the Guilin leg was an excellent guide named Qiuyan Li who took us to the Reed Flute Cave, the Elephant Trunk Hill, and the River Cruise. The whole experience was wonderful and the vistas were jaw dropping. It was very hot and she went above and beyond by making sure we were hydrated, brought us local grapes, and even stayed behind after the day's itinerary to make sure we were able to order food from local restaurants! She also helped explain the local context and give us background so we could better appreciate our time in Guilin!

Lily Cao is a great guide, super friendly. She told us a lot of fun facts about the area. She also took us very nice photos and recommended an amazing restaurant. Everything was well organized. I'd definitely recommend.

We just got back from an amazing one-day cruise on the Li River in Guilin. The views were so beautiful that even the sweltering heat couldn't make me want to go back inside the comfortable, air-conditioned cabin on the boat. ​Our guide, Lily Cao, was a true gem. She always knew the perfect spots for photos and was more than happy to snap pictures for us. After the cruise, we explored the surrounding villages on scooters, riding along a smaller but equally charming river. I seriously didn't want the day to end. ​Lily also suggested we see the Romance Show, and wow, what a spectacular performance! It was an incredible spectacle that I highly recommend. ​Overall, I can't recommend a tour with Lily enough. You'll learn fascinating facts and hear some really funny anecdotes. If you're in Guilin, this is a must-do trip.
