Amalfi Coast Boat Tour from Sorrento with Positano Visit

Fantastic tour that made me fall in love with the Amalfi Coast!!! Received communication day before for pickup location. 5 min walk from where we were staying, pick up at 8am at a local hotel. Drove to other stop to pick up additional travelers. Arrived at dock, checked in and paid $20 tax. Were given bracelets that were color coordinated for the boat you would be on. Boat operator came around to have you sign a waiver, name, DOB and country of origin. Boat took off at 9am. 12 passengers, tour guide and captain (driver). Plenty of room for some to sit in back and some to sit in front of boat. Shoes off for only front. 90 min boat ride to Amalfi, with slow downs on the way for notable explanations of certain spots. First stop was Amalfi for 1hr 10 min. Not enough time as this place was BEAUTIFUL! Could have used at least another hour to explore. Views were amazing! Get the lemon sorbet in the lemon! 30 min boat ride to Positano for an hour and a half - wished we would have had that extra time in Amalfi. Positano was beautiful, but not much to do. Had time for a full sit down lunch (which you should do, no food on boat just light snacks later). Beaches in both Amalfi and Positano were small, rocky sand but nice to look at. Water looked clear and clean. In October, very cold. 20 min boat ride to a small spot where everyone could get out and swim. Water wasn't too deep but you could not stand unless you swam more towards shore. Beautiful water but again cold in October. Final 60 min boat rode back to shore for arrival at 4:30 pm. Amazing amazing beautiful views throughout the entire day. Valentino our tour guide was so fun! Had lots of information to offer, would answer any questions you had about the islands, the tours and himself. He talked with everyone on the boat and made the trip that much more fun. Drinks (soda, beer, water) were served a couple of times but more available if you asked. Light snacks (bags of chips, etc) and prosecco served at swimming spot. Group shot of homemade Limoncello at the end was a fun touch. Fantastic day, definitely recommend doing!

Van pick up at the hotel was an hour earlier than the departure just so they can sell you breakfast, alcohol, beverages and the same upon return.

Our girls trip of 5 proved to be an amazing and memorable experience with Amalfi Boat Tours!! Roberto and Mario were outstanding guides, and made the day extremely fun! They made us feel welcomed and they genuinely wanted us to have a great time. We stopped in Positano and Amalfi and enjoyed the beautiful scenery along the coast including a surprise stop at the Blue Fish Grotto! We even had the opportunity to swim in the Sea which was exhilarating! Would definitely recommend Amalfi Boat Tours, especially with Roberto & Mario!

We were treated like family! "Guido" was an excellent guide. He knew so much about the area and was wonderful! We went swimming at the end. We purchased the snorkeling equipment rental. We did not snorkel (not enough time when most people stayed on the boat while about 6 of us swam around) so that was a waste of money. I would of given only 4 stars because of the rip off getting the snorkeling equipment but "Guido" was so good... Also, not enough time to eat lunch...so grab a Gelato if you are hungry!

The excursion gave you plenty of time in all the stops it makes. Pasquale and the boat captain were fun and knowledgeable!

Be prepared for walking up hills. Take advantage of the swimming opportunity, special experience. Crew don't advise you of the importance of speedy disembarking and embarking of the boat at visiting ports.

From the transfer from/back to hotel to checkin to boat crew to weather… excellent day on the water and Amalfi Coast stops 😎 DON’T MISS OUT! We all four gave it 5 stars!!!

Mostly good, well organised, pickup went smoothly and everything they said would be included was included. Unfortunately they didn't specifically say seats would be included. As it turned out, there were 12 passengers on the boat and only 10 seats. The other two are expected to just lounge about on the foredeck, which was at least padded, or lean against the railings which was tricky as the boat pitches right up when going at speed, while keeping belongings and body parts clear of the windlass. Getting upfront in the first place was a bit scary too as the only hand-holds are the railings at knee-height, and you had to take your shoes off when boarding. Also, there is no cover from sun, rain or sea-spray so expect to get both wet and burnt and dress accordingly. Another small annoyance was pickup and drop-off schedules are clearly designed to give you just enough time in the cafe at the dockside to spend some extra money - we could've had another hour in bed and/or got back an hour earlier. All in all, it fell short of similar experiences I've had elsewhere, notably Croatia, and left a bit of a bad taste. That said, the views from the sea are much better than from the white-knuckle coastal road (we did that too, and the coach wasn't even allowed to stop in Positano), you get plenty of time ashore to explore, our guide Francesca was great, and us two stragglers who had to cling on to the foc'sle for most of the trip got all the best views and photos.

Great day where the company picked us up and dropped us off right on time. Awesome to see the coast from a boat and also get to walk around Positano and Amalfi. Great snacks, drinks, swimming and good information from the guides throughout. Overall an awesome day!

Beautiful way to see amalfi and positano. It was a little chilly and windy so we didn’t swim. I would suggest bringing layers. There was just about a half of a glass of wine served and a bag of chips. They have a store before you go if you want to grab snacks or a bottle of wine etc.
