David Armitage was a great tour guide. Very knowledgeable, flexible, friendly and great driver!!! Other activities and tour guides set up were all well done. We experienced and saw so much! Can’t wait to go back!

I have taken the great Atlantic and Spectacular South tour. It was well planned. Our tour guide David was great, really helpful and full of history, area knowledge. We had great fun. I recommend the tour.

Overland Ireland put together a top-notch itinerary that was the perfect complement of historical destinations and locations showing the natural beauty of Ireland. The tour was structured enough to cover a lot of ground but also gave us flexibility later in the day to relax and do whatever we wanted in each of the towns that we stayed. The choice of hotels was excellent, and the morning meals were perfect to get us through to dinner. Best of all was our tour guide Jimmy Murphy who did an outstanding job getting us to each location safely. He was very professional and informative but most of all he was a great person and quickly became a good friend in the short period of time we had with him. The small group option was great because we had a smaller vehicle which could access areas that larger tour busses couldn't get to, and it was very comfortable. Overall great tour and I highly recommend for anyone, especially anyone visiting Ireland for the first time.

Had a great time on the 7 day tour lead by Jimmy Murphy! The people, the destinations, the food, the drink, and the laughter all contributed to a wonderful trip! Jimmy was laid back, yet kept us on the move and on time for all of the sights and stops. Highly recommended.

Great tour! Jimmy Murphy was a great tour guide. Made sure we stayed on schedule and added in some interesting side stops due to changes in the weather. Highly recommended! We had 4 couples and had a blast touring throughout Ireland.

This trip was such an incredible experience! The itinerary could not have been better and our tour guide Jimmy was absolutely fantastic! Every single excursion was lead by a local guide making the experience tailored and specialized. Jimmy got us from point A to B safely, with so many opportunities for photos and stunning landscape views and fun facts about the country! My family had been trying to take this trip for 5 years and it was more than we could have imagined! Highly recommend this trip for anyone who loves learning history, seeing the beautiful country from top to bottom, and having tons of craic along the way!

We did a 7-day tour with 3 other couples. Completely exceeded our expectations (which were high to begin with). Our tour guide Jimmy Murphy was fabulous. Adopted to everyone’s wants and needs without disrupting the flow of the group. Even though we ran into some inclement weather he adapted the stops to still get in the sites and kept people safe. Ireland is a beautiful country! Friendly people and gorgeous countrysides. Highly recommended!

We have just returned home from our 7-day tour with Overland Ireland. The tour featured a well-planned itinerary though the weather did not always cooperate. Having said that, the transportation and tour were skillfully guided by our driver, Jack. I have taken many guided tours in the past. I have had excellent tour guides on occasion. I’m not sure I can recall any of their names, neither can I conjure an image of them from my memory. I can tell you without hesitation that I will never forget our Irish tour guide, Jack. We could immediately sense the pride that Jack had in his country which was easy to understand, as he shared stories of Irish history, Irish independence, and Irish music and the importance of each of these things in the hearts of Irish people. All the accomodations were excellent. Jack always had great suggestions for lunch, dinner and evening pub choices that featured music. When winds/rain/high seas occasionally cancelled a scheduled activity (kayaking, bike riding), Jack immediately got on the phone to find alternative activities that were equally enjoyable (eg. Falconry, horse and carriage ride through Killarney Natl Park). By the tour’s end, we found that we had developed friends for life amongst the 4 families (10 people) that participated in our tour group. Jack was instrumental in developing that camaraderie. We just had so much fun. I would gladly do it all again.

Our 7 day Overland Ireland tour was a magical immersion into the Emerald Isle with it's culture, history, and people. Jack, our driver and tour guide, was the reason! We recently took this tour of the island along with the tale end of Hurricane Erin. The weather was wet, windy, and cold. Unfortunately, many of our scheduled tour activities were cancelled, which was quite a disappointment. Even with the weather the way it was our days were full. Jack entertained us with his passion for the country, his knowledge of Ireland's history, his skill of story telling, his personality, humor, and his ability to quickly add events that made our trip truly memorable. I would recommend this trip with Jack as your guide. You will be in for a treat. The accommodations all week were wonderful with small Bed and Breakfast places in the towns of Kinsale and Dingle, the Armada Hotel at the Spanish Point and The Hyde in Galway. The bus was comfortable and roomy for the 11 people on our tour. There were so many highlights on this tour that we did get to enjoy. The Blarney Stone was a treat, but don't wait if the queue is long, the gardens on the grounds of the Castle are beautiful to meander through and enjoy. Lunch and shopping at the Blarney Mill were a delight. Our stay in the town of Kinsale was accented by a walking tour with Barry who was entertaining, informative, and just a lovely fellow. Several days in Dingle with Jack's recommendations for wonderful restaurants, local pubs, pints of Guinness and sing along Irish music! Our cycling plans through Kilarney National Forest were scratched due to weather but we were treated to a horse drawn carriage ride through the forest and a visit and tour of the Ross Castle. An unexpected switch was a captivating, hands on and up close afternoon of Falconry. The sheepdog show was a wonderful insight into the life of a working Irish family farm. A visit to the Cliffs of Moher and a walk to the edge with an absolutely stunning vista was an adventure. The winds and rain were enough to keep you keenly aware of the height of those cliffs. Even on a sunny day those cliffs must be intimidating. My absolute favorite was our final day spent on the Aran Islands. We explored by bike the wild, undeveloped landscape of the authentic and rural Ireland you imagined from Jack's stories all week leading up to that day. A memorable trip, and one I will always relish. Pack your raincoat and waterproof shoes, and expect the unexpected. Overall, I recommend this 7 day tour of Ireland to appreciate this country and why the Irish have so much pride and passion for their homeland. If you are lucky enough to have Jack show you around you will not be disappointed.

Incredible Guide! Good overview of Ireland. The hotels were cute, accommodating and in good locations. Our little 16 person van gave the driver , Deb, flexibility that larger busses count take advantage of. Ot was spotlessly clean. Deb, best guide ever, answered all questions and was bright, so helpful and humorous.
