Pompeii & Vesuvius: Exclusive Skip-Line Adventure from Sorrento

We visited Pompei and Vesuvius on a lovely winter's day (early December) with few crowds to deal with. We were transported to and from Sorrento in a very comfortable van, in a small group, and enjoyed the insights from the guides.

Pompeii was amazing…lifelong bucket list item and did not disappoint. Both our guides, Roberto and Lulu were amazing. Learned so much about Pompeii and the region. We made it up to Vesuvius but the entrance to the top was closed unfortunately…not to the fault of our tour, we appreciated their effort. Would highly recommend this tour to anyone.

This was an awesome way to see both Pompeii and Vesuvius in one day. Our tour guide Louisa was wonderful and full of knowledge. The climb up Vesuvius is exhilarating but be aware that it is a steep climb, so wear the right shoes and pace yourself. You’ll be rewarded with breathtaking views of the crater, Naples, and the Mediterraneans Sea when you reach the top. Also, there are no restrooms anywhere on the mountain, so make sure you go before the bus ride.

This is incredible!! Seeing Pompeii is my favorite part of my trip - it’s amazing to see. The tour guide did a great job explaining all the history. Definitely recommend this tour!

I would recommend a self guided Pompeii tour with audio guide. Our tour guide LuLu preferred stand and talk versus walk and explore. We could have seen so much more on our own with the limited time we had. Too many references to Mickey Mouse and other nonsensical comments as though we were a 3rd grade class.

Very limited food options. Must walk from meeting point to bus station in Sorrento instead of just meeting at bus station. Bus does not stop fir picture opportunities on way to or back from volcamo

We were 2 couples from Manchester, UK. This was an early start to get to Pompeii in the morning and Mt Vesuvius in the afternoon. Luciano was our excellent driver, he was brilliant at navigating the tight roads and bends. We arrived at Pompeii early morning and we were one of the first tours to enter this incredible place. We had the place almost to ourselves for 45 minutes. The Pompeii people were so advanced compared to what was happening in our islands at the time, it’s a must visit place without a doubt. In the afternoon, we went to Vesuvius, it was cloudy near the top which was a big advantage as it wasn’t too hot. The coach can only take you so far and the last part is a tough, steep climb to the summit but if you’re able, it’s worth every step to take a look into the volcano which is a sleeping giant. We also had a glass of Vesuvius wine at the top which actually wasn’t bad at all. Thank you to our 2 guides, Nello and Luigi who were both friendly, helpful and informative. So glad we booked this day.

Dani was amazing and for informative about all the towns on our way to Pompeii and mt Vesuvius Our tour guide at Pompeii Mimi was very amazing he was so enthusiastic and very excited to talk to us about everything we looked at and gave us some great information Mt Vesuvius was amazing too and loved how we could go on our own at either spot especially the volcano tour It was an amazing time and would definitely do again or recommend to friends that visit the area

Great trip to Pompeii with the family. Super easy to catch the coach in Sorrento and a well organised trip all round. We were into Pompeii very early so it was really quiet. The guide was very knowledgeable and took us to all the key sights. Afterwards the trip to Vesuvius was all very interesting. A bit of a slog to reach the top but well worth it foe the views and the experience.

Well organized tour that covered a lot at Pompeii, with climb to top of Mt Vesuvius. Fun, informative day.
