Sapa Motorbike: Epic Off-Grid Journey, Hidden Tribal Gems!

May and Tamay were amazing guides on our 2d 1n motorbike tour around Sapa. Great knowledge of the different areas and lots of interesting facts. Loved heading to the villages with little or no tourists! Great communication to arrange the tour and continued communication throughout. Thanks for the experience!

My 2 day bike tour through Sapa was incredible. May was a fantastic tour guide, knew all the routes through town, and even invited us in her home to dry off from the rain which was very kind. Day 1 was quite rainy and foggy which made for a tough sight seeing ride but my second day was perfect weather. I decided to go to the top of Fansipan to look at the views - super cool! From there we drove around different villages taking in the sights. May was very laid back and let us choose our own adventure. Highly recommend!

Wonderful tour would highly recommend. Our guide mei mei was very personable and informative. We saw 5 different tribal villages each with their own customs and clothing. We saw some magnificent views of the valley and mountains. We stayed in a very comfortable homestay run by a local family. I am happy to contribute to the local people who work so hard I loved the bike rather than hiking, as we saw so much more and learned so much. 2 days was perfect, 3 might have been too much. It was so fun . Mei mei took us to places run by her friends and local people .

Once you have traveled with Sa Pa authentic motorbike/jeep tours, you will not settle for anything less ever again. Guide and motorbike driver May is the best! As a local, she is extremely knowledgeable about the Sa Pa and all the surrounding villages and the many tribes that live in the various villages, including their dress, customs, and specialty foods. Having biked these roads for over a decade, she knows the best path to take, all the local hotspots and hidden gems, and the best places to stop for a breathtaking view along the way. Customer comfort and enjoyment is always her top priority, and she goes out of her way to adapt the trip to needs of the tour, as well as being mindful of current weather and road conditions. As part of the 2 day overnight tour, we had the opportunity to stay in May’s village and experience firsthand local life. May and all of the wonderful people of the Dao tribe welcomed us warmly. We were made to feel right at home. The local cuisine is unbeatable and the only downside is my stomach was not big enough to eat more. The Homestay accommodation was also top notch and we were able to get the best night of rest before heading on the trail again. On our motorbikes in the expert care of our drivers, we were able to visit places that would not be accessible by any larger vehicle and it gave us great opportunity to see many natural wonders and local villages along the way. I cannot recommend highly enough! There are so many options for tours in the area but this is the real deal and definitely the highlight of our time in Sa Pa!

May was a fantastic guide . She spoke fluently and shared lot of information about the people and places we went . We went from Sapa to many different places in the region over three days and enjoyed home cooked lunches , homestay and dinners . A most enjoyable experience would highly recommend doing this tour with May . We got to explore local villages etc that weren’t tourist towns and experience the different ethnic groups and their cultures

Our experience was wonderful thanks to the team and our tour leader May Pet. She was very professional and kind and assisted us in all the possible ways providing solutions for all of our needs. The landscapes are incredibly beautiful! The tour is easy and pleasant and the house we slept was very nice and in a very beautiful spot. They prepared a great fresh dinner for us. Everything was just PERFECT Thank you May for making us discover Sapa mountains!

This was an exceptional trip. We loved seeing all the scenery through the small villages, and how everybody lives. Our tour guys were helpful and wonderful people. We were good friends . The overnight homestay was fun fun and you need to have one of their hot tub baths with special herbs - you will sleep very very well. A trip to remember 😃

We had such a great time with May, and highly recommend this experience. May speaks great English and shared information about her culture in such a lovely way, and always smiling. We feel we had such an authentic experience going to very remote villages and back roads. We always felt safe on our bikes and May gave us safety advice on some sections of road. We enjoyed the home stay and had a beautiful meal with the family in their traditional home. During the trip May always gave us options of things to see or do, and we stopped whenever we wanted. Highly recommend this trip, especially if you have the lovely May as your guide.

Very nice ride. Super nice people showing you the surroundings around Sapa. Even due to bad weather we have been provided rain coats and tucked tightly. Especially May did a very great job showing us around. As she is from the local Dao tribe she knows a lot and shares plenty of it when you ride along or make a short stop to take a picture.

We had a interesting start of the trip, things went a bit different than we planned. But luckily there was the amazing May she was a great assistant, made sure everything about our trip was one big adventure. She speaks very well English what made it very interesting, culture, food, family she loves to tell you all about it. And the driving skills are very strong, so she could show us things I would normally not even think to drive myself, but I did on a semi automatic bike 110cc, my partner on a dirt bike 125 cc (at home we drive bigger bikes, you need some driving skills for the tour we have taken).All the time she would check if it was ok and if we like to go off road or the big road. We went for the small roads and it was amazing!!! What a ride!!!! Thank you May.
