This tour was both tiring but a great adventure. Kevin (our guide) and Diego (our driver) were both fantastic at getting us around, giving us great information and making sure we had a fun day. Be prepared for a long day as ours was at least 12 hours, pick up to drop off, however I would highly recommend anyone looking for a full day of adventure, animals and fun consider this tour.

This tour was exactly what we were looking for. Nice hike, tour guides were very knowledgeable and you can tell they grew up in and love Costa Rica deeply. The usual blue lagoon waterfall walking path was blocked off, but our guide Kevin was awesome and showed us a place downstream that we were allowed to swim in. We saw a blue jean frog, a Fer-de-Lance viper, 2 sloths, a basilisk lizard, a vulture, green tree frogs, some other birds, tons of creepy critters and more. Unfortunately we didn’t have the chance to see any monkeys, but everything else on our checklist was crossed off!! As long as you’re an understanding person and know that the wildlife you see and hikes you take are not guaranteed and subject to change, you will have a fantastic time, Kevin and company will make sure of it!

What a great and experience with Daphney! We highly recommend Native's Way for this experience. They were thoughtful, extremely polite and considerate, and our guide Daphney was an absolute love. We unfortunately had a terrible experience with another tour operator in the area, so closing the right excursion group can make all the difference. Native's Way is definitely on the best excursion company you can choose.

All the guides involved in this activity were well-educated and excited to introduce guests to the beauty of Costa Rican wildlife and educate them about its protection. Unfortunately, it was not possible to take bath in the Llanos de Cortez waterfall because of unsuitable water composition due to recent heavy rains, but one must respect the power of nature. Thanks our guides we could spot several avian species (including toucans), sloths, howler monkeys, rainforest frogs, snakes, lizards and iguanas. Remarkable plant species were also presented. Our guide even helped us with the taking photos of the animals, which was great. Rio Celeste lagoon with the waterfall is just breathtaking. A tasty buffet-style lunch is included. We would like to thank our guide Kevin for his care and valuable informations concerning Costa Rican wildlife and our driver Alberto for the safe transportation.

This was an awesome tour with Kevin and Alberto. We loved the waterfalls and seeing all the animals and plants in the rainforest. Lunch was delicious, too. Kevin was so knowledgeable and Alberto was an excellent driver! We are so glad we chose this tour. Costa Rica is a gorgeous country!!!

The staff was awesome, the hike was beautiful to Rio Celeste, but I gave four stars because I thought we were going to see more sloths, monkeys etc, but can't control nature.

It was ok couldn't go in either waterfall for pics only from a distance. There is no sanctuary for sloths its a manmade jungle where there pre find the animals bc no one is finding them in minutes unless they know where to look. Im high pace and everything was slow pace including the time it takes to go and return. Guide was nice but not much enthusiasm

This experience was exactly what we expected from the listing. We saw two awesome waterfalls, got to do a nature walk with an expert guide, did a second hike where we saw multiple eye lash vipers, and swam in the beautiful blue river. Highly recommend!

Booking was very easy in Tamarindo at the Native's Way booth. Henry was an awesome agent, and we ended up booking a few things with him. The Llanos Waterfall hike was short, and the waterfall was gorgeous and very refreshing. Lots of space for different groups. We even saw a white-nosed coati in the picnic area. Nice bathrooms to change in. Lots of driving! We were told this was a moderate hike. The hike to Rio Celeste was intense. All uphill, uneven ground and was a challenge for everyone in our group. You cannot hike right down to the waterfall anymore. The switchback stairs were washed out in a flood. Bathrooms to use at start and end of hike. Lunch was good authentic Costa Rican food buffet, bathrooms there as well. The Sloth Sanctuary was great, wish that we had more time there than we got. Our guide, Daniel was amazing and found some of everything. His monocular allowed everyone to view the ones far away or up high. It even allowed us to take videos and photos of the creature. Our Native's Way duo: Frank the bus driver and Harry our guide were great. We got everywhere safely and on time. The coffee/breakfast spot was good according to those who got items there. The bathrooms were clean. We talked a lot on the bus, as well as napped on and off. You can feel safe leaving things on the bus. Frank stayed on it or close by the entire day.

As a female travelling solo safety is always a concern. My driver Jorge was terrific always keeping us updated. Our tour guide was Daphne. She was amazing at spotting animals and telling us what to expect next. We could not swim at the waterfall and instead she found a blue river near Rio Celeste to take us swimming. The sloth tour exceeded my expectations! We saw pit viper snakes, tarantula, monkeys, sloths, walling stock bugs, lots of birds and the butterfly garden. The entire tour was breathtaking but Rio Celeste is a LOT of stairs and inclines that I was not prepared for! Lunch was terrific and I would absolutely recommend the entire tour. It's well worth every penny!
