This was a great experience. Super well organized and Phoebe, our driver for the day was very helpful with giving all the relevant information to all the places we visited, also making the road super easy. Despite the weather, we still accommodated managed to see all the places. Totally recommended

Must do for everyone, especially for fans of the movie. Large area covered showing several spots, and with some adventure. Justin was the guide and made everything better.

Simply amazing. Dan (the driver) was the best guide ever! Office staff was friendly and helped us with baggage transfer.

Jenny was absolutely brilliant - wouldn’t want anyone else doing this tour! We truly enjoyed every second of it and are only sad that it has to come to an end. Highly recommended for any LOTR fan!!!!

Great fun trip. To Glenorchy in the morning and off-road up the river to Arrowtown in the afternoon looking for gold. Our guides were great (Dan in the morning Adam in the afternoon), friendly chatty and knowledgeable. Beautiful scenery. Highly recommended.

Our tour guide Justin took us on both of the two half day adventures. We started out going out to Glenorchy and Mount Aspiring National Park. For a little fun we had capes and swords at our morning tea stop to video a scene as a moment. After being dropped back into town for lunch (you get a lunch voucher for a local cafe) we headed out for the second part of the day which saw us head out to Arrowtown and Skippers Canyon. We got to do plenty of river crossings in the 4x4 and the kids had a go at panning for gold in during our afternoon tea stop. All in all a fantastic day out and our guide Justin provided great local commentary along the way.

We really enjoyed the full day 4WD Lord of the Rings tour! Our guide, David, was professional and fun and a great driver! He knew so much about the Lord of the Rings, cinematography, and the history the places we visited. He was excited to share the details of how the different scenes were filmed or made from composite shots. I learned a lot more behind the scenes information. He happily took photos for us at the different locations. He carried a set of really nice images from the LOTR movies to compare to our locations. We had a small group with 5 people on the morning tour and 6 in the afternoon tour. Skipper's Canyon was exciting with our snow chains and some snow. It was exciting crossing the river in Arrowtown. We learned about its history. We stopped for tea / hot chocolate and banana bread and did some gold panning. We stopped at a lot of great spots throughout the day. We had lunch vouchers for Balls and Bangles which had good bagel sandwiches and donuts. In Paradise, in the afternoon, we had more tea / hot chocolate and snacks and we did photoshoots with some really nice LOTR replica props. We were surrounded by beautiful scenery all of the time. I smile when I see the photos we took. When we were returning to Queenstown, David gave us restaurant recommendations for dinner in Queenstown! This was an amazing day of adventure, beautiful scenery, and LOTR. We would love to do this again!

The tour today with Nick was fabulous & it was an awesome way to spend our last day in Queenstown. The weather wasn’t perfect, but the four wheeling & commentary was top notch. We enjoyed the gold panning & having a play with movie props at some of the film locations. Can’t recommend this experience enough whether you’re a LOTR fan or not you’ll get to see places you ordinarily wouldn’t get to go. Thanks Nick we had a fantastic time!
