Niagara Falls: Unforgettable Maid of the Mist & Cave Adventure

Ricky, our driver, was absolutely fabulous! He has a wealth of knowledge. He added so much to our trip. I would definitely ask for him on our next visit

The people I dealt with were very kind but they were not informative. I had booked this tour months before. Then I had to update my pickup spot. I couldn’t do it on my own so I chatted with someone and they assured me that although my hotel was not a pickup spot that there was one on the Canadian side. Long story short there wasn’t a pickup in Canada for the day I had booked it. I called the company and even though we were going to have a private tour they were not going to come pick us up. Very disappointing and I was not even offered my money back.

Wow what an amazing trip. We were surprised to have a private tour with the best guide. Ray was knowledgeable about the history of the falls and was very personable. Thanks for a great day.

We were interested in seeing the falls since this was our first (and probably last) opportunity to see it. My wife and I have been married for more than 52 years and haven't been able to get to the falls before. Misty Thunder and our driver/guide/jokester/singer Ray did us right. The trip was modified for our interests and abilities. Ray knew all the places. He explained what we were seeing and provided lots of background for it all. Because my wife is diabetic we had to stop for lunch. Ray took us to the Anchor bar for Buffalo wings. Terrific! You won't go wrong with Misty Thunder.

Misty Thunder Limousine had to get special permission to do both sides of Niagara Falls for us, and they did! My husband is disabled for military related hearing loss so a tour on a shuttle or bus is not an option for us. There would be too much noise. Using this company allowed my husband to be able to hear everything Ray (our tour guide) said. It also allowed us to individualize the tour for us. Ray was excellent and dropped us off at each stop, purchased the tickets, etc. This saved us time (and our feet). Ray has been there many years so was knowledgeable on the falls and stories about the falls, especially the US side. Thanks David and Ray!

Everything about this tour was amazing! We went straight to The Maid of the Mist which was incredible! From there we had a few minutes to spare so our guide, Ray, took us on a little sightseeing tour. We saw things we hadn’t planned on seeing but so glad we did. He gave us background information on the falls and things in the area. We went to Cave of the Winds which was wonderful…you will get wet!! Ray offers to take pictures for clients and is sure to treat them with respect. He has a couple of jokes under his sleeves and you’ll be pleasantly surprised if he sings a tune or two for you! We had a blast and would highly recommend Ray as a guide/driver.

Misty Thunder Limousine picked us up in a stretch limo. Our driver and tour guide Ray was awesome, he stopped for warm chocolate chip cookies for each of us. We skipped the line at the maid of the mist and cave of the winds. On the way back we stopped at three sisters island .

This was our first visit to Niagara Falls. We got their early (9:30 am on a Sunday morning). There were plenty of open parking spots at the State Park lot. It is a short walk to the ticket booth for the Maid Of The Mist Boat Tour. Lines were very short and the early arrival paid dividends. The tour was around an affordable $30 and is worth every penny. It is a half hour or so and departs every 20 minutes approximately. You will be given the complimentary plastic poncho which includes a hoodie and which is ABSOLUTELY NECESSARY. The poncho will become soaked by the spray from the falls, but it will keep the rest of you dry. If you think this is some sort of tourist trap, please think again! No matter how many times you have seen movies and videos of the falls, those films just do not do the falls justice. Seeing the sheer volume of water from the river is no less than spectacular! The experience will NOT disappoint!! The lines move steadily on and off the boat. I understand there are other package tours with Maid Of The Mist for those who want to see more and spend more time. We were very happy we visited. The early start helped beat the crowds and any possible long lines.

The tour was absolutely Marvelous! The limousine was a pleasant and a most welcomed surprise —we were not expecting to tour Niagara in such luxury. But the limo wasn’t even the best part—it was Ray! Not only is he an excellent singer but also has a fantastic sense of humor. Ray’s knowledge of the history and landmarks is impressive. He'll give you trivia and stories about the place in such amazing detail you'd think he was there when it happened, make sure to have your camera ready for the best photo spots Ray points out along the way. And how could I forget the delicious cookies he brought for us all right at the beginning of our tour. If you're planning a visit, don’t miss this tour—And I sincerely hope you have Ray as your guide.
