Alberto was a really good guide and he all gave us a wonderful surprise (which I won't spoil). And Theo our driver was truly a magician behind the wheel. We were exhausted at the end of the day, but it was worth it.

wear sensible shoes and be ready for bad weather. it poured with rain on our trip which put a damper on the trip. The guide we has in Pompeii seemed to waant to do the whole thing at a whirlwind pace which made it difficult for those with mobility issues and those without.

Veronica did a marvelous job coordinating a large tour group! Lots of history, shared with passion and humor. Had a great time at Pompeii and Vesuvius — will definitely have to come back! A+!

We went on the Mt Vesuvius and Pompeii tour. The organisation at the meeting point was pretty shambolic, we got sent to three different queues before finding our guide. We were also asked if we had photo ID for the kids as under 18’s can get in most places for free. The pre trip info only said they may be asked for ID but we didn’t notice that as it was in the small print right at the end of the information. As it happens it wasn’t a problem. The trip itself was great although we did Vesuvius first and as it was morning it was very cloudy so not much to see, in Autumn months it would probably be better if Pompeii was in the morning with Vesuvius in the afternoon giving the clouds time to clear. Veronica, our guide for the day, was very nice and knowledgeable, speaking very good English and keeping a full coach on time everywhere we went. The hike up Vesuvius was not too bad, just don’t try to run up it. Pompeii was much easier and the guide was really good. It’s a massive site so you don’t get to see loads of it, just enough to understand the devastation and what type of city it was. Overall we all enjoyed the day but it was a very long day with trip last about 13 hours. We’d still recommend it though.

This is a great day trip from rome but i would like to warn others that you will have to do a hike. It was rainy and windy when we were there and it took us about 1.5 round trip. I’m not a hiker so it wasn’t that easy for me. I was hurting the next day. The tour in pompei was amazing. The guide was very knowledgeable. The pizza for lunch was ok…

I want to give my highest regard to our tour guide Veronica. She was so, so knowledgeable, friendly, kind, humorous and warm that I would repeat this trip again. You could tell she has a highly educated level of history and she relates this in such an interesting manner. Thank you so much. Our bus driver was also relaxed mannerly and highly experienced at navigating the difficult roads. Thank you so much for everything we had a wonderful experience.

Well organised and informative day trip from Rome to see the highlights of Pompeii and Vesuvius . Special mention to guide Valentina and driver Max for a friendly job well done. Good quality pizza for lunch, but could have done without the ‘spontaneous’ stop at a Limoncello shop beforehand.

It's a long day! We met at 7.15am and arrived back 13 hours later. Our Pompeii guide was very good and the audio sets meant that you could hear easily. It's a fascinating visit, very worthwhile. The pizza lunch was 3 courses and very good in a pleasant location. Vesuvius was, well, Vesuvius. The geological hike (supposedly quite easy) was in fact 1.5 hours and if your age or mobility hinders you, you can't keep up. 5 people dropped out, including me. My adult son was fine but said there wasn't much that was new to learn. I would've preferred more time at Pompeii instead.
