Vibrant Mexico City: Frida, Xochimilco & Coyoacán Adventure
Enjoy some of Mexico City’s must-see spots with our ‘Colors of Mexico’ adventure. Begin in Coyoacan, one of Mexico’s most influential cities. As you wander its tree-lined streets, you’ll learn how this city played a part in historical empires like the Aztecs and the Spanish. Then visit either La Casa Azul or the Casa Kahlo (depending on the selected option). Step into Frida Kahlo’s world through her original home or the innovative new museum, and immerse yourself in the life and art of one of Mexico’s most iconic and original artists. From the inspired art of Frida Kahlo, we’ll head to the eye-catching Xochimilco and board a trajinera - a colorful, gondola-like boat - for a ride through the neighborhood’s famous canals. As you indulge in local treats, your guide will share the incredible details of what makes this area a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Before finishing the tour, walk around North America's oldest university and admire its Central Campus, another World Heritage site.

Our tour was just amazing. Alex, the tour guide was really nice, presented all the informations of the sights, gave usefull tips for us tourists, and was cheerfull and kind. Julian, our driver was also really nice. They were very punctual and made our day a wonderful experience. We would recommend them to anyone who wants to have a great time.

Alex was very energetic, lively, and knowledgeable! He’s also very passionate about the culture he’s sharing with us today. We had a fun time on the trajinera and our fellow group mates. This tour is everything we’re looking for with the combination of culture tour, food, downtown walks around the Coyocan! Highly recommended and would love to come back for other trips with Amigo Tour!

It is a full day filled with activities with much to see and learn about. Wear comfy shoes and pack some water. Sout out to our guides Allan Alex and dont forget about our driver Fernando. Allan and Alex are both very knowledgeable. And Fernando got us to all our destinations safely.

Aside from the Frida Kahlo museum, which thankfully salvaged the day, this tour generally felt like a tremendous waste of time. We literally spent more time on the bus than at the actual sites. My intention in taking this tour was to see a lot of things in the most efficient way and this felt like the antithesis of that. I understand that there are a lot of factors that are out of the tour guides hands when it comes to traffic etc, but there was almost no information given to us around what was happening, what the time line was or anything— Particularly since the itinerary indicated in the tour listing was inaccurate. We spent an hour at a silver store which was not on the itinerary. Then we went to the university. The library there was very cool and interesting to learn about. Xochimilco was interesting, but basically sitting on a boat while people try to sell you all kinds of things. We didn’t make it to lunch until 315 and people were hangry. Then we went to Coyoacán where we had about 10 mins to walk around before it was time for us to go to the museum. Again, I understand that there are factors outside of everyone’s control, but the tour guide, David, definitely did not make things better or manage anyone’s expectations. I met a new friend which tremendously helped to pass the time on the bus, but otherwise I think I would have been borderline miserable.

Ask for Salvatore as your guide! He was fantastic! Bring your walking shoes and willingness to learn about ancient Mexico

Great day visiting areas of Mexico City. Enjoyed the silver shop and boats on the canals. Traffic is terrible but nothing you can do about that !

Alan was absolutely incredible! He took us on an unforgettable tour through Coyoacán, Casa Azul, and the University of Mexico, and his knowledge, energy, and warmth made the entire experience truly special. He went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable, engaged, and having fun every step of the way. His passion for the history and culture of Mexico really brought each place to life, and we left with a much deeper appreciation for everything we saw. If you’re looking for an exceptional guide who genuinely cares, Alan is the one. Highly, highly recommend!

A full day of interesting places to visit and excellent guides Gio and Rodrigo. Good value for money. Suggest you prepay for Kahlo house visit.

This full day tour was awesome! Gio and Rodrigo taught us SO much and were fun to be with. We didn't feel rushed at any point, we had enough time in each place to learn and take photos! I'd recommend booking the buffet meal in Coyoacan, it was SO good! We had an absolutely amazing time. Huge thanks to Gio and Rodrigo!
