My guide Jerry was very fantastic, friendly and full of information about bangladesh history from the past and even current. I was definitely able to learn a lot about Dhaka through this tour. Also it was an amazing experience to see what life is like here and getting opportunity to ride through the streets in a local way. From getting to try sugar cane juice to tea along our walk it was a fantastic experience. My favorite part was going to the shipyard and seeing people working hard and getting to see what it takes to restore ships. If you want to experience the authentic and true version of Dhake I highly reccomend this tour and Jerry.

I had an absolutely amazing tour of Dhaka today with Afridi as my guide. He didn’t just show me the city’s highlights – he gave me a glimpse into the real heart of Dhaka: how local people live, work, and go about their daily lives. I was really able to connect with them because Afridi translated. We explored vibrant markets bursting with colors and aromas, enjoyed a beautiful boat ride on the river, and even visited a fascinating shipyard where massive ships are taken apart by hand. It felt like I got to experience the authentic Dhaka. Afridi was incredibly knowledgeable and shared so many interesting stories along the way. He was friendly, patient, and made sure I felt safe and comfortable throughout the day. One of the highlights was definitely the food: I got to taste some amazing local specialties like biryani, lassi, masala tea and fuchka – absolutely delicious and unforgettable! It was a day full of unique impressions and moments that I’ll never forget. I can wholeheartedly recommend Mahadi Eco Tours and guide Afridi to anyone who wants to truly experience Dhaka!

Jerry was a very kind and knowledgeable guide who took me with rickshaws and tuktuk to the most important highlights of Dhaka. The market and the fort i have enjoyed most.

Afridi truly showed me the city. We used nearly every mode of transport in a single day. He was prompt and punctual. He has the heart of a true ambassador. Even though we spent nearly a third of the day stuck in protest traffic; he maintained a positive attitude and shared many of his own views. Dhaka is a city that pulses with life, often teetering on the edge of chaos. It’s densely packed, with streets that thrum with honking horns, tangled traffic, and a constant stream of people. The air can feel thick with dust, fumes/exhaust, and the scent of street food sizzling on every corner. Infrastructure struggles to keep up with the sheer volume of its population, leading to visible wear, congestion, and uneven development. In many ways, Dhaka reflects the resilience and hustle of its people — a place where order and disorder coexist. Its visual landscape is raw and unpolished, often gritty, with layers of history, poverty, and improvisation stitched together in a hurried patchwork. Yet, despite its disorder, the city has a vibrancy, a tenacity — a sort of unfiltered urban reality that is both overwhelming and unforgettable.

We absolutely loved this tour and we're blessed to have Afridi as our guide! He went above and beyond to educate us on everything and give us the best experience possible! I actually felt very dizzy at one point of the trip and he went out of his way to help me and make sure I was okay. He shared so much openly about Dhaka and Bangladesh in general, and we got to experience so much on this tour. I would definitely recommend for anyone visiting Dhaka. We felt so safe and looked after on this trip, and are so grateful for the amazing experience we had here.
