Nothing was as advertised. I stayed at the Hilton Cartagena and there was a stop less than five minutes walking from the hotel, however, it was no longer an active stop! The hotel apparently didn’t know because they provided us with the information for location and time pickups. It there was only about 8 of12 advertising stops and the order of the stops changed. I’ve done this excursion around the world and this was the most disappointing experience.

Did the walking tour and the guide was fairly robotic, we were an English speaking group with a mostly Spanish group so her translations weren't as in depth as they could have been. The emerald shop and cocktail bar stop didn't really explain anything and they just wanted you to buy something. Not worth it

The boat we booked wasn’t the one we were given, we were in pain on our way to the island of Baru . I don’t recommend it to anyone.

I love a good Hop-on, Hop-off tour to get to know the history and social culture of a city. Unfortunately, the Cartagena tour was badly managed-- stops are not marked, the place designated as "stop #1" was not a pick up stop at all, and the tour does little historical overview of the area.

Tour of the city was fine. App didn’t work to tell you where the bus was and stop 1 was out of service with no sign or info on the website. Bus seating is need of updating and repair.

A great way to get a feel for the layout of the city and its history. I always choose to sit upstairs for fresh air and better photos!

I never heard of Cartagena before our ship docked there. The city was magnificent. When construction workers stumbled upon a colosseum from Roman time, they cleaned it up, and the city as well. It's a wonderful place rich in history with wide plazas for socializing with family and friends. Beautiful port.

Guide spoke good English. He was knowledgeable and very accommodating. He made our visit to Cartagena complete.Would definitely recommend Alvaro as a tour guide.

Our port stay was only a few hours so this was a good choice as the bus came to the ship and made its way through all the traffic as quickly as possible to the clock tower entrance of the old walled city. Opted for the 90 minute walking tour which was very good; usually am comfortable self-guiding but the overly persistent street vendors would have made it a challenge. Even with the tour guide speaking we were bombarded with pleas for sunglasses, hats, photos etc. Architecture and history of walled city was fascinating. Took the hour plus bus ride around the city afterwards but due to time limitations did not get off as they told us it would be at least 45 minutes for another bus. Sorry to have not seen the Fort inside. Staff was very helpful. When you return you are dropped off at the terminal gates so have a chance to walk through the bird sanctuary on the way back to the ship.
