Vibrant Mexico City: Frida, Xochimilco & Coyoacán Adventure
Enjoy some of Mexico City’s must-see spots with our ‘Colors of Mexico’ adventure. Begin in Coyoacan, one of Mexico’s most influential cities. As you wander its tree-lined streets, you’ll learn how this city played a part in historical empires like the Aztecs and the Spanish. Then visit either La Casa Azul or the Casa Kahlo (depending on the selected option). Step into Frida Kahlo’s world through her original home or the innovative new museum, and immerse yourself in the life and art of one of Mexico’s most iconic and original artists. From the inspired art of Frida Kahlo, we’ll head to the eye-catching Xochimilco and board a trajinera - a colorful, gondola-like boat - for a ride through the neighborhood’s famous canals. As you indulge in local treats, your guide will share the incredible details of what makes this area a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Before finishing the tour, walk around North America's oldest university and admire its Central Campus, another World Heritage site.

Lots of hanging around for those who had not got tickets for Friday Kahlo house. However, the star of the show was Barbie(Barbara) who was kind carefuland considerate. The traffic was horrendous so long time in the bus. The boat trip was only an hr .

Although the Frida Kahlo museum was supposed to be on the tour it was not The start time was supposed to be 8:20 and didn’t actually start till after 9. The route taken was impossible due to traffic, we spent at least 6 hours on the bus Our guide was nice but had to do every description in both Spanish and English so lots of wasted time The group could easily have been divided by language. Very disappointing tour!

Roberto was AMAZING! Very knowledgable, patient and funny. He really made the tour fun especially being in Mexico City's traffic. We spent all day with him and it was fun.

It’s an all day activity, be mindful to get the experience with the Frida K museum — or else you’ll be wandering for 2hrs in Coyoacan.

We had a great time with Miriam and Arturo. Arturo did a great job navigating the traffic and Miriam did a great job telling us about the history of Mexico City and all the sites we seeing. I highly recommend them! It is an all day tour so be prepared!

This was a really all encompassing day trip, and the star of the day was our tour guide, Rodrigo. He was full of information and fun gossip with a light hearted, cheerful and friendly demeanor throughout the long day. He rarely took a breath between seamlessly relaying artistic and historic information in both English and Spanish and answering everyone’s questions. He’s full of fun stories and truly offers a sense of place in this magical part of town.

We did the full tour which was amazing. Our bus broke down on Coyoacán after going to Casa Azul. We had to wait hours for a new one, and missed going to see the murals. But our guide David kept in contact with us and got us to an sunset cruise in Xochimilco. He was great.

A must do in CDMX! Coyoacán has the vibe of a small town inside the hustle and bustle of a big city; charming plazas, good amount of restaurants, churrerías, coffee chops and local shops. I truly enjoyed visiting Frida Khalo museum and the “trajinera” ride at Xochimilco. I did it on a weekday, so it wasn’t as busy as it could get on weekends.

Rodrigo was an excellent guide and all of the sights were as promised! We appreciated the information but we also appreciated the flexibility to strike out on our own in Coyoacan for a short time.
