We thoroughly enjoyed our Sintra tour. We learnt so much about Portugal and the history of the region from our very friendly knowledgeable guides. A treat to also visit the most western point of Europe. Highly recommend this.

Pick up worked well. Marina our guide was very friendly informative and looked after us very well on the trip. We walked around various areas of Sintra and learned lots of history. It is a beautiful area. If your looking for a day trip out of the city would recommend but there is a lot of walking on hills so you do need to be reasonably fit....

This was one of very few tours we found that visited both Quinta da Regaleira and Pena Palace, which were the places in Sintra we most wanted to visit. The tour also included stops at Cabo da Roca and Sintra Village. Our group of about 15 was picked up in Lisbon in a mini-bus which was ok for the tour. Pedro, our driver, did a great job throughout the day. Rodrigo, our guide, obviously knew his stuff and kept us interested and informed without being too chatty. Our first stop was at Cabo da Roca. It was ok, but nothing special. Essentially a monument along the cliffs overlooking the Atlantic. Our next stop was in Sintra Village from where we walked maybe 15 minutes or so to Quinta da Regaleira. That stop was very interesting. Rodrigo provided much background information regarding the eccentric characters involved in the development of the site and some of the stranger goings on that took place there. There are many odd and quirky features with the "inverted tower" being the highlight. We then got about 90 minutes in the Village for lunch and a walk around, which was a bit longer than needed but there was enough to see in the Village to pass the time. Following this was the Pena Palace stop with its iconic architecture. Rodrigo appeared to be very into the palace, enthusiastically providing lots of information about the current site and its history. Overall the tour was about 10 hours. We thought the tour was good value and we would recommend it. Of note is that there is quite a lot of walking, some of which is uphill and downhill so it may not be a good option for those who are mobility challenged.

There are lots of steps and hills. Beautiful place to visit, worth the hike up. There is a cafe at the top to grab a snack and eat

We booked a small group excursion, and you combined us with four other groups, making us more than 20 people. Not enough headsets for everyone, and traveling more than a few feet from the guide you couldn’t hear on the headset. Bus was more than an hour late on arrival and took more than an hour to return making us late for our dinner reservations.

A wonderful tour. Inês, our guide, was very clear and informative. All places visited were beautiful. I especially enjoyed Quinta.

Leonor was an excellent guide - made us all feel welcome and our driver was smooth. The timing of the tour was great as we got to Sintra before the vast crowds and got to try some pastries and a Jin-jinga which kicked our day off brilliantly. We did split up though so that we could get both types of pastries and the Jin-jinga. Just remember to get a ticket from the deli if you’re going to the pastry shop for ‘pillow’ pastries. Up a hill to the Quinta de regaleira- it’s the only way up there. Leonor was able to give us a great synopsis of some cool history then back to Santa for lunch - we were able to get off the beaten track a little bit thanks to Leonor’s tips and our party of 6 got a table. Great time for lunch then off to the Pena palace - again lots of climbing and stairs.
