From start to finish, Noel made our Viktualienmarkt food‑tasting experience something really special. If you’re considering this tour, here’s why Noel stands out and what makes the tour memorable and what we got out of it: We ended up with a deeper appreciation for Bavarian cuisine beyond the usual tourist fare. Insider knowledge: what to try, what to avoid, local customs, and what each ingredient means in context. A feeling of being part of the city rather than being a tourist — seeing the markets, meeting vendors, hearing stories. This tour with Noel is one of the best ways to get to know Munich through its food. You’ll eat well, learn a lot, and leave with a richer sense of the city. Highly recommended — whether you’re a first‑time visitor, a returning visitor or even a life long Münchner and looking for something authentic.

We had a great tour filled with beer, sausage, sandwiches, donuts, cake, and coffee. Noel was a knowledgeable historian. We had a great time!

What a great way to get to know the city! You get history of Munich along the way and all of the food was delicious! I did this on the last day, but think it would be more worthwhile earlier in the trip to help get a lay of the land a little bit. Patrick was a great guide! Lots of food, so make sure you go hungry.

Wonderful food! We were stuffed at the end of the tour. Patrick was very informative and shared a lot of history along our tour. It was fun to try the many different foods.

This was a wonderful tour, thanks in no small part to our charming guide, Kevin. He was knowledgeable about the food we tasted, its history, and its place in Munich culture. Our family, including two sons ages 20 and 14, missed him as soon as the tour ended (and the boys loved debating soccer with him).

We had signed up for a small group tour but the group ended up just being my wife and I and the tour guide, Noel. Noel was informative and gave us a good bit of interesting info about Munich and the foods we ate. The quantity of food was about right in that we left full but not overstuffed. The food itself was about average for the food tours we have been on, but that is mostly because German cuisine, while tasty, is rather limited. The amount of walking was probably a bit less than the average tour since it was all concentrated in the Marianplatz area. Still, overall we enjoyed it and think Noel did a very good job..
