Vatican VIP: Skip-the-Line Sistine Chapel & St. Peter's Tour
A holiday in Rome without visiting the Vatican is like a day at the beach without swimming in the sea. See the best of the Vatican museums and gain direct entrance with skip-the-line access to the Sistine Chapel and St. Peter’s Basilica, while our excellent guides entertain you with stories that go with each masterpiece. This budget-friendly tour is the best value for money for travelers that are interested in 1) seeing the museum’s highlights 2) meeting a new friend or two through your group and 3) skipping the lines (trust us, with over 6 million tourist spilling into the museum every year, you'll want it!) Disclaimer: you will be entering the Vatican museum during one of the busiest times of the day. While the tour provides skip-the-line access, the crowds in the museum vary from day to day and some delay with security can be expected (it would be misleading for other tour operators to not tell you this!)

Excellent tour of St. Peters Basilica, Sistine Chapel and Vatican. Carl, our guide, was excellent, very helpful, passionate, and extremely knowledgeable of the history of all the sites we visited. He also added humour to the tour and was very respectful to others and his surroundings. He answered all the questions put to him from the group with concise and interesting answers along with facts that we may or may not have known. The Sistine Chapel and St Peter's is spectacular, especially after hearing the story behind the craftsmanship, the people and the history of how it came about. The tour lasted 3-4 hours but was well worth it. I would recommend this tour and if you get Carl, it would be a big bonus. Make sure you are wearing comfortable walking shoes as you can easily do 10000 plus steps on this tour.

Very knowledgeable guide who knew how to get around easily. The art in the museum is fascinating while St. Peter’s Basilica was overwhelming.

This was a great and thorough tour of the Vatican, Sistine Chapel, and St. Peter’s. Our tour guide did an amazing job of navigating the Jubilee crowds - plus not to mention skipping the line!

This family run pub (now with 2 extra mouths to feed) by Jim and Jessy does some of the best food I have ever had. Jim’s trio of duck starter was so delicate, beautiful and tasty I actually cried! Memory of its fabulous textures and tastes still makes me well up. The beef tacos are stunning. All overseen by lovely and friendly Jessy or Tommy (new dad too, must be something in the water!). Well worth it.

This tour was so wonderful. Such breathtaking history. Our guide was so informative and witty at the same time. The only bad thing was the earpiece/headset would not stay in so I had to hold it to hear the guide. But still a great experience!

Carl was an extraordinary guide! I am a history fiend and have been on many many tours in my life, and Carl is by far the best tour guide ive ever had. He enhanced the experience and honestly wouldn’t have been the same without him.

Our guide Alessia was very knowledgeable and shared many interesting stories, especially about the Sistine Chapel. The tour was fantastic.

Would most certainly do skip the line again. Your was okay. Guide was less passionate than our last so he seems a little dry and less interesting. The Vatican and Sistine Chapel can’t be fully appreciated in its entirety in a day. Had to be rushed to get through a three hour tour. We didn’t get in Saint Peter’s Basilica because the pope was in session.
- Infants and small children can ride in a pram or stroller
- Public transportation options are available nearby
- Suitable for all physical fitness levels
- Unforeseen events= The Vatican is its own country and therefore the Pope can decide also last minute to close St. Peter’s Basilica for ad hoc events. It is a very rare event during the year but it is possibile and we will do our best to inform you. If it is too late to inform you, our guide will extend the tour in the Vatican. Not to worry that the incredibile collection of Vatican Museums and the masterpiece of Michelagelo in the Sistine Chapel will still be included.
- Most of our tours include the Vatican Museums, Sistine Chapel, and St. Peter’s Basilica. However, there are two specific options with different inclusions. You will find below:
- Museums & SISTINE CHAPEL Tour – Includes the Vatican Museums and Sistine Chapel but does NOT include St. Peter’s Basilica.
- ST.PETER'S BASILICA TOUR – Includes St. Peter’s Basilica but does NOT include the Vatican Museums and Sistine Chapel.
