Authentic Thai Market Magic: Train Track & Floating Tour

We had a great day. From beginning to start everything was nicely arranged. We had a lovely and great tour guide Jum. She was funny and knew a lot of facts. So even on the busride we learned some new and exciting things. The markets where really nice. Really something special to see and experience.

Such a great experience! Being able to experience the railway market and the floating market was fantastic. Patty was a wonderful guide who truly made the experience comfortable despite all the crowds. Definitely recommend this tour!

The Railway Market was very crowded. it was difficult to shop and buy something in such situations. The Floating Market was better because you are in a paddle boat and if you express interest in buying something from vendors on riverbank, the paddler will paddle to the vendor.

Be prepared for a long day. Our pick up was 1 hour after the scheduled time. There were 12 of us on the tour. Our guide Maya was bubbly and sweet. Not great English but it didn’t matter. She rounded us up and kept us together. The ride to the train market included over an hour in the van and then 30 minutes on the train. We spent about 30 minutes at the market which was enough. We then drove also to the floating market. Fun and quick with lunch afterwards at the market. Great food there. We loved the hot coconut pancakes. It was then over 90 minutes back to Bangkok. Although we weee picked up at our hotel, we were then dropped off at MBK market to get our own rides back. Because it was rush hour, the normal 15 minutes can ride took 45 minutes. I’m glad we went, but it might be better on a weekend where the travel time would be less.

This is a full day and it is on a timetable. Great experience and wonderful way to see Thai market and culture.

I recommend this tour. You need to do it. Well organized and we enjoyed it very much. Something to do when going to Bangkok!

Alot of travelling for not alot of time at the markets, the railway market was excellent though and a great laugh
