Atemberaubendes Cradle Mountain: Dein aktiver Tagesausflug ab Hobart!

This was a great experience for me. I was in Tasmania for the first time and decided to explore the areas in and around Hobart. However, as I love nature, I couldn’t miss out on Cradle Mountain. This day tour allowed me to enjoy a beautiful afternoon of trekking while being able to return to Hobart in the evening. Sam, our guide, took great care of us. He took us to lovely local businesses to enjoy delicious food and shared a lot of details about Cradle Mountain and the nearby areas.

This tour really was great! It's an early start at 6am, but Sam is good enough to pick you up from close to your accommodation, so that definitely helps. There are some stops along the way (including hearty breakfast) allowing time for photos, and taking in the scenery. Sam himself is very friendly, and the group size is small at ~10 people, so you get to know everyone a bit by the end. We got to Cradle at 10:30, did a rain forest walk, Dove Lake itself at 12:30 pm, and left at 4:30 pm, so a solid 5-6 hours of exploring, with different hiking tracks available. There was also a nice dinner on the way back to Hobart. For what you get including travel there and back, ticket entry to the mountain, and several hours there, I feel the fee is pretty fair. This tour is best for people with limited time to travel up to Cradle, and if you don't have access to a car. But would definitely recommend it to anyone! Thanks Sam!

I went on this experience and it was great time! The drive was gorgeous, had plenty of breaks in scenic areas and cool towns, and the perfect amount of commentary. The drive flew by, and Sam took care of everything. Even though it was stormy, it was still beautiful to experience the Cradle Mountain area. Four hours there flew by. It is one of the best parts of Tasmania, and Sam's tour makes it possible to experience even when staying in Hobart. This was the highlight of my Tasmania trip!

Not only the trip was filled with beautiful landscapes, but highlighted with charming towns, picturesque trails and heavenlike Dove lake. Words cannot express how beautiful these places are!! What a fantastic tour guide and driver Mr. Sam was. He went above and beyond to make sure everyone was doing ok. I highly recommend the tour to anyone who visits Tasmania and stays in Hobart but would like to explore Cradle Mountain area. You won’s regret it! Thank you, Sam for making our time on the island more memorable!

Sam was more than excellent, extremely meticulous, very detailed, organised, warm, considerate, gave ample notice of what to expect, sensitive to the needs of people and had outstanding time management. He made the long ride truly enjoyable, giving us sufficient and important breaks along the way. He went out of his way to share apples with us and provided water. He simply had all that we needed in his vehicle for our use. He even went that extra mile to bring us for star gazing which was not within the tour. I would highly recommend anyone to do cradle mountain with Sam.

It was a really great experience to the cradle mountain. Sam was really fun to talk to and informative about the trip. Whole day was very well planned and thought out properly which allowed us to enjoy the trip to its maximum.

Sam is a fantastic guide, was a great day, highly recommend this day trip. Long day, but the sights and experiences were well worth the effort.

It was a great experience to hike such a wonderful Cradle Moutain. The weather was really nice though it was slippery but it didnt stop us from enjoying the moment.

It's a loooong day!!!!! But a convenient way of seeing it if staying in Hobart. Saw wallabies and wombats. Don't get put off the idea of the more challenging walk, sure it's not a flat walk around the lake but if you're going all that way, you may aswell go for the views at the top if it's a clear day, and if you're fairly fit, and don't mind a bit of an incline it really isn't that difficult

Sam was an excellent driver and guide, skillfully highlighting local attractions. Unfortunately, icy roads halted the Mount Cradle shuttle during our visit, but I still explored trails from starting station to Dove Lake Hut. Its a non stop 4-5 hour hike. Disappointingly, I didn’t spot any wildlife wombats at Ronny Creek, more time there would be perfect! 💪🏻
