Good tour of the city. The driver knows the city very well. He know the history of the city. Belize City has an interesting past.

Pro: The actually tour & guide were very good, but I have to mention that there was no stop for shopping. Con: The vehicle (van) that was assigned to me and my friends was herendous...it was dirty, in disrepair and no air conditioning. There were these clip on fans which did nothing to cool down the van...it was so hot in this van that it was really hard to concentrate on what the guide was saying.

the tour guide was very good. he went thru some interesting history of Belize. we got an overview at the rum distillery and tasted some rum. we did not have the souvenir shop stop as advertised. the tour is listed in an air conditioned van. the van was more like a sauna with a breeze. we all were sweating the entire time. there was a clip on fan and the air conditioning that was running leaked on my leg. very disappointed with the condition of the vehicle. the windshield also had a crack in it. Unfortunately I can not recommend this tour!

I enjoyed sightseeing around Belize city from the tour bus and taking a picture at the Belize sign, but the only place we stopped at during the tour was the rum store. The rum tasting was nice, but it was not free like I thought.

Considering that Belize city doesn't have much to offer, our guide was very friendly and the tour was as good as it can get.

The HAL Eurodam arrived in Belize City; Tenders transported passengers to the port according to which bus tour they were on. We went on the Mayan City of Altun Ha & Belize City Tour. This took about 6 hours but the weather was cool. We learnt about Mayan Temples & the brutal treatment of women & childrearing practices by the Mayan Elite. The history of Belize spans thousands of years, with the Maya civilization expanding into the region between 1500 BC and 1200 BC, and thriving until approximately 1000 AD. Several Maya ruin sites, including Altun Ha, reflect the advanced civilization. Walk around wide courtyards of ancient temples on top of hills no longer exist but many steps to reach up to the top being the challenge to many, few able bodied have achieved to climb the top; then all visitors are lead thru to a number of arts & crafts shops & stalls with various Jade artifacts & jewellery by Tour Guide then to a brief respite in a shelter for Taste of Belize Citizens of Belize City are serene & hospitable by serving '1 Serve Per Person' Taste of Belize dishes being Fried Rice with Beans and Coleslaw to Veg & Non-Veg passengers.

Things started off a little late, but worked out great! Narcisco, our guide, took us all around Belize city local and showed us how the city’s daily routine is. Kids out for school lunch go to eat locally or at home with parents. We got to see some iguanas, a hummingbird nest and bird, the bank, courthouse, local stores, hospital, doctors and the rum factory and tasted it. Many other local stores and just life in Belize. Very enjoyable.

Easy & comfortable way to explore Belize City. Our guide, Narciso, took his time showing us the highlights but also stories about the wildlife, how storms changed the area, what life is like in the city vs inland, etc. We even stopped for a cool treat at Crème de la Crème (across from Belize sign). Just a wonderful experience & you don’t need more than 2 hours to see this little city. Rum tasting is a must! You’ll love the Rumpopo even if you’re not a ‘rum person’.
