Sunny war ein großartiger Guide – voller Wissen und Erfahrung. Ich habe den Tag sehr genossen und kann sowohl die Tour als auch Sunny uneingeschränkt weiterempfehlen. Da ich bereits vieles in der Altstadt gesehen hatte, hat er sich flexibel auf die Situation eingestellt und mir dennoch viele neue und sehenswerte Orte gezeigt. Die Bootsfahrt war definitiv ein Highlight, und Varanasi bleibt ein unvergessliches Erlebnis! Danke Sunny!

Diese Tour - und dann Ballu als Reiseführer- war ein Glücksgriff! Das frühe Aufstehen hat sich gelohnt. Vom Boot aus bietet sich wieder ein ganz besonderer Blick auf die Stadt. Ballu versorgte uns mit umfangreichen Informationen zur Geschichte der Stadt und zum Hinduismus. Wir besichtigten viele Tempel und heilige Städten. Die Seidenweber bei ihrer Arbeit zu beobachten war interessant und die Stoffe sind wunderbar! Die abendliche Zeremonie am Ganges vom Balkon aus zu beobachten rundete den gelungenen Tag ab. Unbedingt empfehlenswert!

Die Tour mit unserem Guide Sunny war gut, die Bootsfahrt am Morgen hat auf jeden Fall einen speziellen Charakter, wobei aufgrund des Hochwassers nur ein großes Ausflugsboot für alle Touristen abgelegt hat. Aber es ging wohl allen Touren so:) Sunny konnte uns viele spannende Dinge über Indien, die Religion und die Stadt erzählen. Der Transfer mit dem Auto war zudem problemlos. Der Besuch der Sehenswürdigkeiten hat sich auch gelohnt. Was uns jedoch nicht so gefallen hat war, dass wir in eine Seidenspinnerei sowie zum Chai Trinken eingeladen wurde, am Schluss jedoch eine Verkaufsshow daraus wurde. Man musste zwar nichts kaufen, aber es war doch etwas unangenehm.

Die Tour mit meinem Guide Sunny war sehr gut. Er hat mir sehr viel erklärt und gezeigt. Der Fahrer Salman war sehr kompetent und hat mich auch am Ende der Tour zum Flughafen gefahren. Ich kann die Tour empfehlen. Der Preis für die Tour empfinde ich allerdings als zu teuer.

It’s a very early pick up from your hotel, but so worth it to be out in a boat on the Ganges for a mystical sunrise experience. And then you finish your day back at the Ganges for a specially arranged great elevated view of the beautiful and atmospheric Aarti experience. In between you visit many ghats and temples, so easy with a calm driver like Salman. Our guide Ballu was so gentle and lovely, full of interesting information, and giving us all the time we needed at each stop. He really is a gem. Plus he will find you great places for breakfast and lunch, to help pace the day. And it was so nice to have time back at our hotel to freshen up before tackling the crazy Varanasi traffic to get to the Aarti experience. I’m so glad we took this tour, and would highly recommend it. Remember to bring some cash for meals and gratuities.

Balu was an exceptional guide as he explained all the traditions of Varanasi in great detail. He also allowed us to have breaks whenever we were tired and was generally very attentive to our needs. He also recommended great places to eat. Overall, we recommend booking a tour with him 100%!

Today Sunday 5th October 2025, my wife and I took the Ultimate 1 Day in Varanasi Tour. From the evening before we were in contact with Sunny our tour guide confirming arrangements for today. He was promptly on time for our 6 am commencement. From then on we could not fault his guide skills. He was extremely knowledgeable and only too eager to impart on us his knowledge of Varanasi, its peoples culture, the spirituality its people, history of the city and the sites we attended. Sunny made our day extremely enjoyable and we have come away enriched from the experience. Sunny adopted to what we wanted to spend more time at throughout the day, so whilst sticking to the itinerary, we effectively had it personalised in that it was not regimented to a timeline for each site to visit. We came to Varanasi with a basic understanding of the city and being to Holy city of India. Varanasi’s size was not expected, it was a lot larger than we had thought, with the expert driving of our driver Salman, we easily manoeuvred around the city with ease and without concern. Whilst we have 2 1/2 days in Varanasi, this tour offered the ability to see so many things and experience so much in one day and leave us plenty of time to chill out and get back to the heart of Varanasi to experience the day to day life of its people even more. The Atmosphere of the city was very vibrant. Crowds were down due to it being the end of the monsoon season, which in itself brings issues with some access, but the crowds are no where near as busy. We don’t believe it impacted on what we were able to see. The tour is suitable to all people, couples, groups, family’s or even single people. We believe the value offered in this tour is brilliant. We could not recommend this tour any more highly. And if you happen to get the services of Sunny as your guide, we believe you will extremely happy. Get the combination of Sunny & Salman and you are in for an exceptional day.

I was only in Varanasi for one full day and this tour highlighted all of the major sites. The guide Sashank was extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and professional. He explained the history and culture of all the sights. The night ceremony in old town is not to be missed. I would highly recommend this tour for anyone visiting Varanasi.

We enjoyed the tour overall. Arvind, our guide, was very professional, knowledgeable, and made the experience interesting. The only downside was that the two boat rides mentioned in the description were not included due to the high water level of the Gange. We completely understand that this was beyond the organizer’s control, but since the boat rides were supposed to be one of the main highlights of the tour, it would have been fair to adjust the price.
