Unvergesslich: 8h Stadt-Meisterwerk – Geschichte & Panorama!

Wir hatten diese Tour auch schon vor einigen Jahren gebucht und da sie voriges Mal sehr interessant war; wir viel über Bahia und besonders über Salvador ( Geschichte der Stadt und ihrer Bewohner,ein wenig auch über Brasilien)gelernt hatten, buchte ich die Tour wieder. Der Fahrer kam sehr pünktlich und überraschte uns damit, eine private Tour mit uns machen zu wollen( warum,teilte er uns nicht mit) Zuerst führte er uns mit dem Auto durch mehrere Favelas, erzählte uns einiges dazu, danach ins hübsche Ribeira, wo wir uns die Füße etwas vertreten und Eis essen konnten . Nach einem kurzen Stop bei der Kirche Bonfim und bei einem Fort kamen wir endlich am Pelourinho an .... Dieser Teil kam leider viel zu kurz, obwohl dies das Herz von Salvador ist..( Geschichte, Gebäude...) Nachdem wir zu Mittag gegessen hatten fuhren wir mit dem Aufzug zum sehenswerten Mercado Modello..Den Markt besichtigten wir auf eigene Faust, was gut war.. Schließlich führte der Fahrer uns zurück zum Hotel. Resümee: Es war ganz interessant, etwas Neues( die Favelas in Salvador) zu sehen, aber dafür kamen die alten Teile Salvadors zu kurz... Es wäre nett gewesen auch diesmal mehr über diese wunderschöne Stadt ,ihre Kirchen und Gebäude zu hören,da mein Sohn und seine Freundin, zum ersten Mal in Salvador waren.

We had a private tour in Salvador. Great tour. The guide wase very knowledgeable and was happy to share his knowledge. The route was perfectly planned, and nice small gestures from the guide made it even better. Highly recommended.

The guide did his best but I was the only English speaker out of 19 people in the group - I didn’t get all the info I’d like to get - also, we toured this convent that I had no real interest in - overall, an OK tour but it would be better if the tour was designated for language specific groups only - it’s way too overwhelming for the guide to have to explain everything in 2 different languages - one language group will miss out on some info

We had a brilliant time in Salvador. Our guide Vagner is brilliant, he spoke amazing English, covered all the sites and more. He was very patient and considerate. We would highly recommend.

* my guide Wanderlay knew a lot about world and Brazilian history, so it was a treat to hear him talk about his beloved Salvador all day. Great communication, pickup/ transportation in air conditioning. Felt safe and attended to all day, also saw the entirety of Salvador in 8 hours (all the sublime churches, two different markets, walked old Pelourinho and had a delicious lunch) so really appreciate Wanderlay’s itinerary and seamless coordination with the driver. Highly highly recommend to those curious about the city and entire region of Bahia.

I had the best experience in enjoying a private tour with Vagner for a full day. Not only did we see the highlights of the city, including the historic quarter of course, but what I valued the most was the sharing of insights into the history and culture of Salvador, Bahia and Brazil more generally. Vagner's knowledge about his home country and Salvador Bahia more specifically is extensive. It is obvious that this passion for the subject comes from something far deeper than what his employment would require - yet that is what resonates the most with me. I don't think I am alone. Thank you Vagner for sharing your knowledge. I valued our conversation immensely. I learnt so much in just a day. Oh, and yes I really did enjoy the chicken gizzard and Caipirinha!

Vagner was amazing. I'm Brazilian but did the tour because of my partner who is Australian and wanted to learn more about the culture and history from Salvador. He LOVED it. It was great, Vagner showed a lot of knowledge and was very kind and friendly. Would definitely recommend to people coming to Salvador for the first time.

Our guide was excellent! We had a great time touring the city, and trying out suggested recommendations for the remainder of our time in Salvador. I would definitely recommend doing the tour on your first day in the city, as a way of getting to know the area and its history. Highly recommended!

Marcus was excellent!! Very knowledgeable on the history. This tour takes the full 8 hours ( with lunch) well worth the day!

Vagner was jam-packed with knowledge on Salvador history and modern culture. He was beyond helpful & answered all our questions with ease.
