Oupa was a very friendly and knowledgeable guide. Every visitor to South Africa should make a stop at the Apartheid museum and Soweto to more fully understand the country’s complicated history.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Khutso was an amazing tour guide! He arrived early in the morning to pick us up from the hotel and set the tone for a fantastic day. He is incredibly knowledgeable, sharing history and details with so much passion that the stories truly came alive. You can ask him anything he always has the answer and explains it clearly. The Soweto walk was exactly what we needed. It gave us a much deeper understanding of the real South Africa and its people. We truly appreciate the experience and highly recommend asking for Khutso, he is simply the best! The lunch buffet is delicious! Btw.

Great tour, learned a lot. Tshepo was a great guide, shared his experience of South Africa, both current and historical. The museums were world class and provided a sobering view of the Apartheid era. Highly recommended

Everything went very smoothly, from the transfers to and from the airport to the visit of Soweto. This tour was truly one of the highlights of our stay in South Africa. Thapelo is such an amazing guide — extremely knowledgeable, very friendly, and we always felt safe and happy to discuss and learn from him. The lunch was excellent as well. We really appreciated the tour and the organization.

My day guided by kind, easy-going, smart, didactic and enthusiastic Lebo was an awesome lesson on South Africa's past and present. He provided loads of interesting and relevant information and was very pacient with my never-ending list of questions! He also highlighted the main themes not to be missed during the visits to the museums, thus helping me make the best out of the time available. I'll totally recommend it. As for the advertising of this tour, I confess I found it a little bit confusing. At Mo Afrika's website, it says that the tour includes a tour through Joburg (including a visit to Top of Africa), but it was only after talking to the office thru WhatsApp that I learned that it was not included. So I'd suggest they edit and review their ad materials so that they are consistent with what is actually offered.

Great opportunity to explore many sights like Orlando Towers, Constitution Hill, Mandela House, Soweto and Hector Pieterson's museum. All guides concerned were very knowledgeable and friendly. Would thoroughly recommend this.

Tinyiko and Zanele were great guides. They were informative, funny and accommodative to our needs. Highly recommended! The tour was also an eye opening experience for our family. Thank you!

We got a fantastic tour, they took us everywhere, we saw so much of Johannesburg and Soweto and learned a lot. Our guide was amazing. Best way to start a holiday in South Afrika

Had the best time with the tour guide It was amazing The only thing I wasn’t keen on was the lunch. It was too spicy and not a great choice

I booked this tour when I had an extra day in Johannesburg, and I’m so glad that I did. My guide, Tshepo, was absolutely amazing. He’s 40, and has lived thru most of the history we were learning. The walk through the slum was eye-opening — we were clearly safe, but bearing witness to the impact of apartheid will never leave me. The other spots we went to helped understand the practical history, from 1976 to today. If you have an extra day in JNB on a connection, this is a good tour that will educate you in visceral way that won’t leave you. I feel better traveling through South Africa carrying this experience than simply connecting through an airport en-route as a privileged tourist on safari. Highly, highly recommend.
