Bora Bora Cartagena: Luxury Beach Club Paradise Escape

It was absolutely perfect!! Everything went well. It was very organized. Staff was very sweet and helpful!!

We had a Great time! The beach club met our expectations. The staff were outstanding from check in to returning to port.

I came solo and bought the VIP package. I did not feel like a VIP. I did not get a daybed as advertised on the site, instead getting a lounge chair that was barely covered with shade by an umbrella. My waiter only came over to me twice (both within my first 20 minutes of sitting down) during my near 6 hours on the island and was upset I tried to pay with a card since I didn’t hit the card minimum. I would have easily hit the minimum had he come over and asked if I needed anything. Overall, very disappointed. All I got was a bad sunburn and bad service.

Pros- The property was nice. The service was good. The food was good. The ride was smooth. Cons- Completely unorganized and no communication. Complete chaos at check in with really long lines. They asked us to arrive at 7:30 am and the boat did not leave until 10:30 am. We waiting for three hours under the scorching sun. Our trip was cut short and no compensation or apology was provided. They seemed not to care. The delay was due to a marathon race that had been scheduled months ago. They decided not to communicate or provide refunds/rescheduling. Our trip ended up only being 5 hours long with 2 hours of it being to and from travel. Three hours on the property was not enough to enjoy.

I was excited to visit Bora Bora, but the staff at the meeting point were very rude and impatient. They first charged me 29,000 COP for the speedboat, then suddenly said it was 35,000 COP for the entrance fee. Later, during check-in, they claimed I still owed 200,000 COP, even though I had already paid everything through TripAdvisor. Once I got there, however, the boat crew and the staff at Bora Bora were amazing—especially José, who took care of our orders.

Our trip to Bora Bora was just okay. My friend and I had VIP passes and upgraded our lounge bed to the front row by the waterfront. However, the waiter never came to check on us. We eventually had to go to the bar to order drinks and food. Unfortunately, our snacks took about an hour and a half to arrive, and they came at the same time as our lunch order. While the lunch was good—I ordered the fish—I feel like better service would have resulted in Bora Bora making a lot more money from us, especially since it was my birthday and we were ready to spend.

Had a nice day! Read up on the reviews so knew the potential downsides, but enjoyed it nonetheless. We were nervous about weather as the forecast was storms and rain - barely a cloud in sight the whole day. Was super hot and humid. If we had our time again we would have gotten to the dock earlier to purchase a front row bed just for the breeze. Lunch was really good ! All food and drinks were expensive but we knew that going in. We did the VIP section based on reviews, seemed more quiet than the other side but wish they played a mix of both types of music (VIP area is only electronic while other side is better). Bathrooms were very clean. Was nervous about not having water shoes as I have very sensible feet but the beach is fine, there’s some rocks but definitely sandy once you’re in. Boat ride for us was fine, a few bumpy parts on the return but most people loved that part. I would recommend sitting behind someone with shorter hair on the boat (and tie your hair up if it’s long) as I saw a couple of people getting the hair of the person in front blown in their face the whole time. Not great value for money but still a good experience for what’s available.

Ricardo organized this activity for our group (along with several others!) and I cannot praise him more! He took care of everything and made everything so easy! His communication was quick and he even checked on us throughout our stay to make sure everything was going as planned and also sent reminders. This Bora Bora trip was one of our favorite activities - highly recommend!! The views, the service, the drinks, the DJ, everything was top notch. Thank you for making our trip so memorable and amazing!!

Great relaxing experience at the beach, definitely get a cabana bed. The water is beautiful and clear. The good is fantastic and amazing attentive staff! Makes you feel like a celebrity

Everything went smooth and was organized. The boat ride can be a bit rough, but it’s worth it. The food, drinks, hookah & service was superb!
