Bespoke City Discovery: Private Luxury Vehicle Experience

Luis and his company have taken wonderful care of us throughout our trip. We were picked up at the airport and taken to our hotel. The next day we took a trip to Palenque. Luis connected us with a knowledgeable tour guide and waited for us while we explored. Today he showed us around Cartagena and helped us find specific souvenirs. We’ll definitely call VIP Taxi Service the next time we’re in Cartagena.

Excellent experience. Luis was friendly, patient and took us to a few of his favorite spots for souvenirs. He also drove us to Palanke for our tour.

Luis was the perfect driver. I highly recommend hiring Luis for any excursion you are planning. He was both honest and trustworthy. If I was traveling back to Cartagena, I would hire him again. Luis provided an all day driving service to us, and transport back to the airport on our departure day. Our day trip included transport to Pallenque with a follow-on stint to the mud volcanoes. If you plan on visiting both, I recommend you book a driver as the most economical way of seeing these locations. Once again, Luis is your man for safe travels in and around Cartagena.

We were delighted with tour guided by the friendly and competent uncle - nephew duo of Luis and George. For us this was a cruise excursion just for a couple of hours, as our ship was in port for only half a day. No problem with communications beforehand or meeting up with the guys, who were right on time. Luis and George are natives to Cartagena, take great pride in their city, and know it well. They were flexible about taking us to places we wanted (coffee!) and skipping places we didn't (jewelry). This was a terrific introduction to the city, and we enjoyed our too-short time with these great guys. Muchas gracias! One note, as others have pointed out. The car Luis drove was a basic Renault. Executive car? As George said, "To us, this is an executive car." Okay, fair enough. But expect Uber X quality, not Uber Black. It didn't matter to us, and in fact was more practical for getting around the city. Just setting expectations.

Gorge and Luis did a great job. We saw different parts of the city, including a walk through Getsemani, the walled city, and a last minute trip to the La Popa. It is really a basic “intro” to Cartagena tour at a relatively low price. This tour does not include any of the “paid” places that may be included in other city tours, like La Popa or the fort. We only visited La Popa because I insisted. Also, the name of the tour is a bit misleading. The vehicle we were driven in was not an executive vehicle by any means of the word. Lol That said, Gorge was accommodating to all of our “side quest” and he speaks great English. If I would change anything, I’d eliminate the time spent at the emerald store. We could have spent this time at the fort. The emerald store was essentially a sales presentation. Anyway, if you’re looking for a low-budget driving tour around the city, this tour is what you’re looking g for.

VIP was an amazing car and tour service. From pick up to drop off and everything in between, our guide Louis felt like family. Communication was clear, recommendations were great and the excursions were a once in a lifetime experience.

We went in March. Tour was okay. The guide was nice but i felt he could of talked more about the city through out the tour and really engaged with us. Also maybe exclude some of the jewelry places or art shop places that were unnecessary/repetitive to visit. VIP SERVICE- There is room for improvement for sure. Please improve where you can and really make this tour worth while for all, giving your customers a real good experience and introduction of your city. Also limit your cell phone calls while working. Please consider my advice to help your business flourish. :-)

Excellent tour and car service! We had a wonderful time discovering Cartegena with Luis. He really knows the city and did a great job shuttling around a couple of clueless tourists- he even showed up an hour early at the airport on very short notice. Would absolutely book again!
