Lucerne's Alpine Gems: Rigi, Bürgenstock, Lake Views Tour

Had a wonderful day with Chris. He worked extremely hard to curate a very unique day based on some conversation in advance. Comfortable van. Tons of local knowledge. We got everything we could out of the day without over-doing it. We look forward to going on another tour with him soon.

WOW!!!! Chris absolutely made our trip. After getting off an 11-day Viking cruise we traveled to Lucerne and were lucky enough to get Chris as our private guide. Chris was BY FAR the best travel agent we have ever had. My family and I travel extensively throughout Europe each year and I have to say the 3 days we spent with Chris were extraordinary!! Because of Chris we were able to see more in those 3 days than we did the entire 11 days with Viking. Chris was able to customize the tour for us and show us things that were off the beaten path which made the trip even more special. His relationships with local shops and restaurants (not tourist traps) made our trip even better! We plan to return to Switzerland and travel again with Chris as 3 days were just not enough. After several conversations, Chris tailor-made a full day excursion work for four 77-79 year-olds, some of whom have trouble getting around. We were very happy with our cruise of beautiful Lake Lucerne, the train ride to Rigi and the gondola down the mountain. We enjoyed seeing historic points of interest in Lucerne and sampling Swiss cuisine for lunch. Conversation in the car was both informative and fun. Want the best of guides? We really enjoyed our day with Chris in Luzern. He made everything easy and fun and is very knowledgable. The views were spectacular and Chris took the best pictures from the perfect spots so we will always remember. We went for walks surrounded by stunning mountains on all sides and had a delicious lunch with beautiful lake view. The full day tour of Lucerne and it's its surrounding area conducted by Chris was absolutely the highlight of my wife's and my (along with my brother's and his wife's) 2-week European vacation in late November/early December. Chris was the consummate gentleman every step of the way as well as an incredibly informative guide. He was very careful to sense what all we might enjoy seeing and doing throughout the day and tailored every minute accordingly. We had such an amazing time with Chris on our Typically Swiss tour. He took us to spots that we would definitely have never found on our own and really personalised the experience to what my partner and I were looking for! We did a one day tour around the Lake Lucern area, taking in secluded private spots close to the lake, a really unique and gorgeous Glassworks, the elite Burgenstock resort and it's amazing views over the lake alongside a local and delicious lunch spot! We really enjoyed our time with Chris. He is so interesting and chatty and really made us feel at home with him. He asked what we were interested in seeing and personalised the tour to us. It really is a private and personal experience and we could not recommend it more thoroughly! You've just got to come!

Chris was a wonderful guide! I was traveling with my sisters and mom (all with different interests) and he was able to work with us to create a day that everyone loved. The weather did not cooperate as we had hoped, but Chris had so many fun ideas and adventures up his sleeve. We did a full circle drive, with various stops, around Lake Luzern. The cheese factory tour was incredibly authentic. We got to see the work in action. Our guide Oskar was very sweet and eager to share his trade (and stuff us with delicious cheese!). We had one of our best meals in Switzerland at Chris's lunch stop/pick, saw truly incredible views -- at many different locations, and enjoyed the chance to check out glass blowing and knife making along the way. I would absolutely recommend this tour to others. Having Chris as our guide made our visit to Switzerland extra special.
