Explore the volcanic islands of Panarea and Stromboli in the UNESCO-listed Aeolian Archipelago, on a day trip from Taormina. After traveling by motorboat to each island (please note that there will be other groups on board of the motorboat), enjoy free time to swim in their crystalline waters or amble around their villages. Cruise around Stromboli to see the island’s volcano at its bombastic best. A crater called Sciara del Fuoco is easily visible from the water, so look out for its frequent jet-like eruptions lighting up the night sky!
A penalty will be incurred in case of a no-show. The motorboat is equipped with bar and toilets. It is absolutely forbidden to consume takeaway food and/or drinks on board. Toilets are not accessible near the ports and therefore their use is permitted exclusively during navigation. Smoking is prohibited inside and outside our motor ships (there is an exception at the stern, in the embarkation and disembarkation area, authorized by our on-board staff).

We will board onto our speed boat to the Sciara from where you will enjoy the beautiful eruptions of Stromboli.

We are up to 10 people on the boat and no more so you can find yourself comfortable with social distance between each other.

Stromboli is not only one of the many beautiful islands of the Mediterranea Sea, but it is the only one where volcanic activity takes place unceasingly in front of our very eyes, and where the visitor can see the explosions so it makes sense that the best way to enjoy it is from the sea!

That’s always an amazing experience !

Board the motorboat and sail across the Tyrrhenian Sea to the island of Panarea, nestled in the Aeolian archipelago, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Enjoy time to explore the small, scenic island at your leisure. Stroll the local shops in the whitewashed village, sample island fare at the locals, or take in the water views from the beach. Afterward, reunite with the owner and sail to Stromboli, which takes its name from its active volcano. Admire the black lava sand beach and enjoy some free time to wander around the village. The trip can be concluded with an evening boat ride around the island to see the Stromboli volcano in action. Head to a clear spot to see the Sciara del Fuoco crater, where you can watch bright, liquid lava erupt into the night sky. Small rashes happen regularly, so make sure you have your camera ready.

The Aeolian Islands, located in the Tyrrhenian Sea off the north coast of Sicily, can present some challenges to visitors with disabilities or seniors due to their hilly terrain, cobblestone streets, and limited accessibility features. However, efforts are being made to improve accessibility on the islands to accommodate all visitors.

Here is some information on accessibility for people with disabilities and seniors on the Aeolian Islands:

1. Transportation: The main mode of transportation on the islands is by boat, and most of the ferries and boats are not wheelchair accessible. However, some companies may have wheelchair accessible vessels, so it is recommended to inquire in advance. Once on the islands, getting around can be challenging due to the hilly terrain and cobblestone streets. However, some parts of the islands are flat and more accessible.

2. Accommodation: While some accommodations on the Aeolian Islands have made efforts to make their facilities accessible, the options for accessible accommodations may be limited. It is recommended to contact accommodations directly to inquire about accessibility features.

3. Attractions: Many of the main attractions on the Aeolian Islands, such as hiking trails, beaches, and historical sites, may not be easily accessible for people with mobility issues. However, some attractions, such as museums and cultural sites, may have ramp access or other accommodations for visitors with disabilities.

4. Services: Services for people with disabilities, such as accessible restrooms and ramps, may be limited on the Aeolian Islands. It is recommended to plan ahead and research which areas and services are accessible before visiting.

5. Assistance: While the islands may not be fully set up for people with disabilities or seniors, locals are often friendly and willing to assist visitors in navigating the hilly terrain and cobblestone streets. It is always a good idea to ask for help if needed.

Overall, while the Aeolian Islands may present some challenges for people with disabilities or seniors, efforts are being made to improve accessibility on the islands. It is recommended to plan ahead, contact accommodations and attractions in advance, and be prepared for some limitations in accessibility during your visit to the Aeolian Islands.
