Unforgettable Chiang Mai Sunrise: Doi Suthep & Forest Temple

The Doi Suthep & Wat Pha Lat sunrise tour was an amazing experience. Watching the sunrise over Chiang Mai was absolutely breathtaking, and the early start made it peaceful and uncrowded. Our guide was friendly, knowledgeable, and created a calm atmosphere for reflection at the temples. A perfect mix of nature, culture, and spirituality — highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Chiang Mai!

We very much enjoyed our experience going to Doi Suthep to see the sunrise. We had a lovely guide who spoke very good English. Visiting the 3 places works well as they are so different and being up the mountain to watch the sun come up over chiang mai was very special. We also bought alms to give to the monks there, who then chanted us all a blessing. Only criticism would be that our guide didn't really give us instructions about the alms beforehand so we felt a bit silly and sort of followed others that were there too. We really loved Wat Pha Lat in the forest - so peaceful and atmospheric, we'd have liked to stay longer but at least got a good look round on this trip.

This is a MUST so my favorite thing I did in Chiang Mai. It was early but that also meant we were at the temple before anyone else. Had the place to ourselves. Watched the sunrise and then saw two other amazing temples. Loved our guide. He was kind,funny and knowledgeable.

The walk up the hill with the early morning and pre sun rise vibes was one of the most beautiful things I've experienced. My wife and I enjoyed this guided tour as the guide Boon explained us some historical and mythological facts and stories. Every temple in this tour was unique and beautiful on their own. One tip I would suggest is to pick a sweater as it might get a bit cold early in the morning.

This was a lovely tour although due the cloud the sunrise was not the best and it was freezing up the mountain at that time. The tour leader was lovely and informative. If I did it again I possibly would go during the day and not wake so early for the sunrise element.

This tour was great and stuck to schedule as planned. Our tour guide was knowledgeable and entertaining even with the 5 AM start we had.
