We went through Vienna Explorer. A small group of 7 tourists including two of us & the tour guide cum the driver of the mini van. It was excellent interactive trip to vineyard as well as boat tour to Melk of 1.5 hours. Scenic tour & a special mention of the the guide Rubin as he was excellent Apart from the wine testing, visit to a local village of 1 hour was noteworthy.

A well organized tour with 7 guests & the tour guide / driver was splendid. Ruben the tour guide was very knowledgeable & smart apart from having good driving skills. Being a student himself, was excellent in communication & made the group share their experiences. Well managed environment during the tour. Timely departure & return after showing all the places mentioned in the tour was noteworthy. Excellent experience.

Our day in the Wachau valley was probably the best day of our trip. Tim was an amazing guide, Durnstein was magical, the wine tastings perfect (-thank you Max for hosting us at your family winery-), lunch was in a small family restaurant in Melk and was delicious, and the Abbey was stunning. Thank you for a wonderful day.

My guide Marco was amazing. Max the owner arranged for me to be picked up at my hotel…the Wachau valley is wonderful and the abbey was amazing!

On balance, this was an excellent tour: well-organized, well-explained by the guide (Marco), and full of amazing wine, architecture, and food. Directions to the pick-up spot were easy to follow, and Marco was there to greet us on arrival. We traveled in a group of eight (plus Marco), in a very comfortable Mercedes passenger van. (Note: it was very warm when we visited Vienna, but Marco was incredible in keeping the van very cool and inviting throughout the day.) During our drive (approximately 1 hour from Vienna), Marco explained a lot to us (using an excellent microphone and speaker so that everyone could hear), about the wine region, the history, and how the varietals had subtle differences. The two wineries we visited were picturesque, inviting, and INSTAGRAMable. Marco was great in his explanations of each wine, eliciting our comments, and answering any questions we had along the way. For lunch, Marco took us to a traditional "heuriger": essentially a wine restaurant with picnic-style lunch. Most of the people surrounding us were locals or Austrians on holiday. It was a wonderful way to experience Austrian culture outside of Vienna, and sample more wines (and traditional cuisine). My wife is a vegetarian, and even she was able to find delicious choices on the menu. After lunch, we took a beautiful cruise along the Danube for approximately one hour. It was pleasant, relaxing, and an opportunity to enjoy some sites outside of Vienna in a very chill atmosphere. The boat had indoor and outdoor tables, with A/C, and a full menu (in case anyone was still hungry after lunch!) At the conclusion of the boat ride, Marco met us and drove home, but made quick reference to the Melk Abbey. (Note: the fine print of the tour mentions this but I didn't pay attention to it until we got there. The tour of Melk Abbey only takes place in the winter months. I'm not sure why, but the Abbey tour is not part of the summer experience.) We returned to Vienna approximately 9 hours after our original departure, and had a pleasant experience. Again, Marco was an awesome, personable tour guide and driver, and I would recommend this tour to anyone who is looking for an outside-of-Vienna experience for a day trip, who enjoys dry white wines.

Our guide was very knowledgeable about wine. Also, very engaging with the entire family. That was the best part of the trip. Abbey was disappointing. Just saw two rooms, which were beautiful but spent most of the time walking through a modern museum. Lunch was scheduled at the very touristy Abbey restaurant. Went to Melk instead. Much better. First wine tasting was great thanks to our guide. Second wine tasting was horrible. Dunstein is a tourist trap. Don’t bother. Did not have time for the boat trip on the Danube but did not get a refund for that. Overall, find a different tour of the valley. Would suggest our guide find a different company to work for to allow him to schedule a much better itinerary.

This was a nice trip. Our excellent guide, Miguel, provided all attention and care we needed. The bikes were excellent and everything worked. Me and my wife fully recommend this trip.

Tour was absolutely wonderful! Miquel was delightful and so accommodating! One member had broken his wrist so could not bike, & Miquel arranged for taxis to take him to the wineries to meet up with us. The scenery was lovely and it was just an amazing tour! Definitely a must do if you want to enjoy the wine country in Austria!
