Join our guided countryside bike tour & explore the beautiful Dutch countryside of Waterland, north of Amsterdam. The tour include stories & photo opportunities along the way. Our guide will take you on a scenic route along the North Holland Canal, passing a windmill & charming Dutch landscapes. Don't miss this bike tour. We offer two options for this tour. A Long tour with E-bikes or a Short tour with normal bikes! Both tours are for experienced and fit cyclists only! A. Long tour on E-bikes: Visit a traditional Dutch cheese farm to see Gouda cheese & wooden shoe making at a clog make workshop. The route is covering 37km/23 miles. This tour requires a minimum height of 5' 1" feet (155 cm) to ride our pedal assisted E-Bikes. We cycle at 18/20 km per hour. B. Short tour on normal bikes: Covering 23km/14 miles through charming villages like Zunderdorp & Ransdorp. See a windmill and wildlife of the lowlands. Taste some farmhouse cheeses. There is no clog workshop visit on this tour

Friendly and knowledgeable guide Hew. A gentle pace riding through beautiful countryside and finding out about the history of Amsterdam. Learning how cheese and clogs are made was an addition bonus. Highly recommend this tour and experience.

Great fun way to see the countryside and more of Holland while on a city break! Huw our guide was really friendly and knowledgeable. We did the longer tour with e-bikes which were really good, nice amount of stops and opportunities to learn more about the history of Amsterdam, lovely cycle routes saw lots of cows horses and some pigs. Enjoyed the cheese tasting and trying on the clogs. Highly recommend this tour.

Great ride. E-bikes make it easy. Richard, aka Rinse, is an excellent cyclist and guide. It was great to get out of the city and see the countryside. Would definitely recommend

We had the best afternoon with Charles! It was a perfect ride and he was so informative. Our daughter just loved him and he made her journey a blast. Best thing we have done in Amsterdam. A MUST do!

I had a very enjoyable time on this tour with my husband. Unfortunately, my mom was unable to participate because she was having a difficult time using the bike. Sadly, company did not allow a refund for the tour that wasn’t used.

Excellent tour was nervous about renting bikes in Amsterdam because it’s so busy. But this tour is perfect gets you away from the traffic and out in the beautiful countryside. Raf was a perfect guide and a lot of fun.

We reserved Mike’s Countryside Bike Tour as our last activity when visiting Amsterdam and we’re so happy that we did! It was FANTASTIC from start to finish. The e-bikes were high quality and made the 23 mi round trip a breeze. Christian was an excellent guide, very friendly and knowledgeable, and he made everyone in our group feel welcomed. Every stop presented a new experience and offered plenty of photo opportunities. If you don’t take this tour you will miss out on half of the beauty of Amsterdam. We highly recommend this experience!

The views were amazing! Our guide Shakira was kind and patient. We saw a lot more countryside than we expected. Would definitely recommend. Shout out to Cheese and Clogs…sexy! 😅😂

Bikes were in good condition and easy to operate. Our guide Heuw did a great job keeping us informed and safe. The experience was well organized and the countryside was very nice.
- Public transportation options are available nearby
- Not recommended for travelers with spinal injuries
- Not recommended for pregnant travelers
- Not recommended for travelers with poor cardiovascular health
- Travelers should have at least a moderate level of physical fitness
- Minimum age is 12 years! - anyone under 12 will not be allowed to join the tour, and no refund will be issued.
- For the E-bikes the minimum height is 155 cm or 5' 1" - anyone under this height will not be permitted to join the tour
- Arrive 15 mins before the start of the tour at the meeting point! We will not wait longer than 5 minutes after the official starting time.
- All participants must be able to ride a bike confidently on their own. Mike's Bike Tours will remove anyone from the tour who poses a danger to themselves or others, and no refund will be given.
- Mike's Tours Amsterdam and/or its owner(s) are not liable for damages or injuries of any kind incurred by participants or by third parties during any of Mike's Tours Amsterdam's activities.
- Lunch is not included. Feel free to pack a lunch and bring something to snack along the route or out at the cheese farm (long tour only) because while the farmer has cheese to eat the wooden shoes are not fun to nibble on unless you are a chipmunk.
