You see both the natural beauty and interesting structures along the river Thames, where the colleges hold their rowing events. The driver/guide gave us lots of interesting information, and anecdotes, about the users of the river and university characters. The trip starts at the Folly restaurant, where you can get hot drinks for the journey which, along with the blankets provided, kept us warm on a chilly October day.

Nick regales you with interesting facts and entertaining stories about this section of the river. There's lots to see and a unique pub and toilet stop at the turnaround point. This really was one of the best boat trips we've done. The blankets provided were brilliant for the cold October afternoon. This feels like a luxury experience.

The captain and restaurant staff were very accommodating, knowledgeable and entertaining. Historic, sporting, funny, town and town comparison stories. Beautiful scenery.

We had a great trip on the electrically powered Oxford Sightseeing River Cruise boat, skippered and guided by the excellent Max. He was very knowledgeable and amusing in describing the history and sights of Oxford, the Thames and River Cherwell. The trip was enhanced by a glass of Prosecco purchased from the Folly Restaurant! Lasted about 50 minutes and highly recommended.

We had a great voyage despite the rainy day. Boat had a cover and we stayed dry the entire trip - so much better than walking around in the rain. The guide was very knowledgeable. A great way to see and learn more about Oxford. Highly recommend!

We had a lovely time on this river cruise that toured around Oxford. Max was an exceptional guide who was very friendly and knowledgeable about the area. We went later in the day when it was quieter which was nice, we learned a lot about the town and the waterways and even saw a kingfisher which is rare! I highly recommend this experience.

This was a very lovely boat ride. The boat is electric so there was no engine sound and we heard the soothing sound of ripples of water the whole way. Our guide was such a lovely person. I took the 5:15 pm tour which was the golden hour (near to sunset) of the day. The river and banks looked so picturesque. We even saw a kingfisher. Also the boat leaves from The Folly Restaurant which is a perfect place to have dinner or lunch after the boat ride as it is on the water. So can not beat the view.

Our guide had lots of interesting stories and personal experiences on the rivers in and around Oxford which made it both informative & entertaining. (Forgot his name: 2:15 Tuesday ,9/30) . I’d recommend to anyone who likes a breeze in their hair and interested about the boating life over the history of the English countryside.
