Unforgettable Milford Sound: Exclusive Boutique Fjords Tour
No address available
Rated one of the Top 10 Experiences in New Zealand. Join our boutique small boat cruise and experience Milford Sound the "local" way. We limit passenger numbers on all cruises to half of the boats capacity (capacity 150 passengers) to guarantee an uncrowded and much more personal experience. Let us show you our backyard on this once in a lifetime experience. Relax with complimentary coffee, tea and biscuits and enjoy the skipper’s live commentary while marvelling at the breath-taking scenery. The smaller size of the vessel enables us to get you up close and personal with the local wildlife like New Zealand Fur Seals, dolphins and the very rare Fiordland Crested Penguin (spring/early summer). A “Glacial Facial” under the Sterling Falls is an experience not to be missed.

The staff on the boat were excellent! Even with the changes in the weather, we got to see so much. It was an amazing experience and would highly recommend!

The little boat experience was nice. It is still a price to get in (90€) but we were very lucky to have a beautiful sunny day. We went up to 10cm near the mountains, the captain is really good, he also explains things during the trip. It was sooo nice also to have cookies and tea whenever we want. The crew kept filling the bar, there were nice and smiling.

This was absolutely amazing. Scenery and experience spectacular. Don’t miss this - small boutique cruise gives you the closest experiences. Captain and Moritz ( crew) were entertaining and hilarious at times.

Cruise Milford was amazing! The sights were so beautiful! We especially liked the size of the boat and amount of passengers we had on it. We were so lucky and had about 15 people total on the boat during our 8:45am departure time. This left us all lots of room to move around, take photos and enjoy ourselves without feeling crammed!! The captain was knowledgeable and kept us updated and informed the whole trip! Also the workers were very kind and offered to take photos for people. They also had hot tea, coffee, cookies and water on board the whole time! Would 100% recommend, well worth the price.

Wonderful cruise! Hamish and his crew were so attentive, a wealth of information, and pleasant to travel with. The boat was clean and comfortable. The commentary was educational and entertaining. Would highly recommend this cruise for anyone visiting beautiful Milford Sound. The waterfalls, wildlife, mountains, and sound were absolutely breathtaking. It was lovey to be on a smaller vessel that wasn’t crowded. Adam, Rene, & Charlotte (Sydney Australia)

Such a lovely day with Geoff being an excellent guide in every way. He was informative , funny , helpful and also made sure we had plenty of stops for photo opportunities. The drive was stunning and the boat trip equally so. The picnic was delicious too. Highly recommend

What a wonderful experience! My wife arranged a trip for my 59th birthday, and from the beginning, it was terrific. Milford Sound is a natural marvel that is worth the trip to see. Apparently, it's one of the most popular holiday destinations for Chinese tourists, and I can see why. The line was short and quick; there was plenty of room on the boat. From the beginning, we realized that Craig, the captain, was going to be hilarious. His line "In case of emergency, do not panic, my highly trained crew and I will take care of that for you". But it was also very informative and joyfully educational. Descriptions of the anatomy of the sound (which, we learned, is actually misnamed, as it's a Fjord) were couched in the story of the epochs of geological formation that brought it about. I even got a shout-out for my birthday and applause from everyone aboard. Craig also shared the concern of his fellow citizens, knowing that they lived right on the Pacific Rim of Fire and that a major earthquake was due in the next few years that would probably measure over 8 on the Richter scale (which will be devastating). The ship was comfortable, and tea and cookies were laid out for us throughout the trip. This is a small, family-run business, and the care they take is obvious. Totally a 5 out of 5 experience. Thanks, Captain Craig, and your wonderful crew.

We had such a wonderful experience with Cruise Milford! Cruise Milford is a smaller cruise boat that allowed us to go extremely close to view seals and waterfall. My son and I were all happily drenched from the waterfall! Special shoutout to Faye who sent us our pics :). Milford Sound is an amazing place, and we would highly recommend Cruise Milford.
